@gca1011 Yes, the jazzy touches are excellent. I don't care for the original version from '73, which I find annoyingly melodramatic, so I'm glad I stumbled upon this performance. This rendition makes it more than a regular pop ballad. And Diana sounds simply wonderful.
why doesn't she ever sing the second verse in any of the Live performances of this song? One of the best lines EVER in the second verse.Sucks! I'm sure the writers throwing up!
I have favorited this a dozen times, only to find that it 'unavailable' in red ink. it's so aggravating when they keep deleting these fantastic clips. Does anyone know where I can get a quality recording of Diana doing THIS arrangement of this song?
I somewhat enjoyed this, but the Eddie Kendrick Singers on the version I have posted take the song to another level! She needs a female to really carry the top.
