  • Thegreek123 You're confusing Olive Grove with Olive Branch. Olive Branch and G&M are 2 totally different/differently owned restaurants. Btw, went to Friendly Farm today...excellent crab cake!

  • This video is pointless because the Olive Branch and G&M are owned by the same people.

  • Friendy Farms in Maryland has the best..if u don't believe me,..check them out!!!

  • Another BIG thumbs up crab cake in the Baltimore area is the Corner Stable in Cockeysville. It's not the softball size like at G & M or Olive Branch, but it's 100% jumbo lump, with minimal filler and VERY tasty!

  • I tried the crab cake at Olive Branch. The crab cake was good - large lump crab meat, hint of breading, nice and huge, but... too much pepper for my taste. Half way through the crab cake my mouth had enough pepper and could no longer enjoy the fine crab meat. Olive Branch is attached to the Ramada hotel. The restaurant is like an old mission. I half expected to see a friar come from the kitchen. Advice - stay away from the window - too many flies. Yeah flies buzzing my plate - sad.

  • @MaruPanaca Must have been a different Synder's. They aren't the best, just better than those bread cakes from G&M.

  • Great video. I will have to head up to Pikesville next week. I too have been searching for the best crabcake since moving here 2 years ago. I liked G and M crabcakes but I found the breading too much. If you are like me and don't go for filler, just give Pappas a try. Pappas was originally in Parksville on a quiet neighborhood street (Taylor St.) They have since moved into the old Bennegin's on Rt. 2 in Glen Burnie. Same size as G & M but without the bread filler, Moist and delicious.

  • wow, olive branch in PIKESVILLE? that place is nice, but G & M's crabcakes are BOMB!

  • i like the tunes :)

  • annapolis seafood has good crab cakes also arundel seafood; roys qwik korner

  • G&M crab cakes are so-so. Too much filler. Go across the street to Snyders for real crab cake - or Michael's in Timonium. G&M are tourist cakes. They aren't that good.

  • @msm318 I must have went to a different Snyders across the street because the crab cake I had there had zero jumbo lump crab meat. I would class their style of crab cake in the crab meatloaf variety, like at the inner harbor. Snyders doesn't fall in the category of best of. Flat flavor, filler, and no lump crab meat. I'm heading back to G&M restuarant as it's still in the top 3 list.

  • It's not a hint of Italian...just more flavorful. You can call them to find out about the "Jimmy." They're both excellent crab cakes either way.

  • Ya gotta put the "Jimmy"(male crab) mustard in your cakes,G&M does, does Olive Branch? When you talk about different flavor at the Olive Branch, are you talking about a hint of italian? If so,then it ain't the real deal

  • More bread in G&M?

Can't imagine that, yet to got to Olive, next time I will!

    Thanks for the vid!

    G&M blew me away,great cakes!

Have you done a Pit Beef showdown?

I like Pioneer in Glen burnie area, then again, pit beef only became popular 8 years after I moved away from MD.

  • where else is a good place resturants areound here in baltimore

  • hey barnylee i agree with u. here at the olive branch are the best crab cakes ever. i was ur server there on sunday 23 2008 rebember? lol. hope i see u again

  • Glen Burnie girl now living in South Carolina and we love this video. How about next time comparing G&M to Timbuktu? Timbuktu has the BEST crabcakes!!! Hubby & I are watching this vid and our mouths are watering hon'!!!!!

  • G and M has some amazing crab cakes... They actually will ship them all over the states..They are well worth the money.. I live in Vegas and order them all the time

  • what an awesome tour. take me next time

  • thanks for the tip.....Rosedale here

  • whats with the Baseball

  • its been decades since i been to Baltimore's

  • You may have found a new calling. Maybe you can replace Rachel Ray!!!
