  • "Ne otverzhi mene vo vremya starosti"

  • 2 men sing solo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

belive me, or just find that "famous low G" and listen there are 2 voices, one singing low G, and one singing G

  • @Djidja91Le

    Three men.

    Wichniakov, Krjuchenkov and Chepikov.

  • @Djidja91Le Are you referring to the octave thing right at the end? I'm definitely hearing 2 voices but can't really pickup up the higher one that well. No vocalist here, but I play bass/contrabass trombone and tuba for money so I'm used to octaves and such.

  • Ut unum sint! What a great tool of witnessing Christ is the Orthodox chant, and how much greater still would it be in a unified Church!!

  • Must be the vodka. Simply beautiful

  • Это Юрий Вишняков, а не Виктор!

He is Yuri Vishnyakov, but no Victor!

  • That roar...that grudge...that contra-G...so powerful

  • Divine...

  • 2:48 -->2:58 That's how I imagine God's voice.

  • @ursmik

sorry to break your nationalist bubble...

but that too I can do!

& I am no White Russian...

    or Black Russian....

    But a Black American!

  • @TheMannyStyles

Bubble. Sorry to break YOUR nationalism, but I'd like to hear you.... You are not in YouTube? Than do not speak. I'd like to hear also about an american bass that could sing this low..... You do not know of one?

    Than speak not......

And before you ask - no, I'm not Russian.

  • @Roam665 No one says to you, 'speak not', just because you confuse 'then' and 'than', so before giving such direction, think twice, then speaking once is enough. The Man(ny) didn't say anything but that he had a Great G. I do, too. Un-miked, too. Whoopee. Why the contention? Just be glad to be a part of it all. Americans and others can have those notes. Vocal fold length is from genetics, not nationality, otherwise following your logic there would be no russian tenors.

  • @peddletoneG that is true, but, with respect, russia is famous for its' basso-profondo specialists and i do not know an american basso profondo who is in this league. sorry=/xx

  • @browny333 Thanks for your reply! Russia is indeed famous for its profundi, but they don't all dwell in Russia or environs. There was a reason S, Rachmaninoff said finding a low B-flat singer for his Vespers (esp his fave #5) was hard as finding asparagus in December in Moscow. Must have been a reason. I have an A-flat you can hear throughout a large church, no mic. I'm nowhere near the deepest American. Ever heard of J D Sumner? He was gospel, not opera, but DEEP. YouTube has others, 2.

  • @peddletoneG yes but the american gospel singers, are completely lacking in tone and quality of voice. Come on some of those guys sound like dying frogs.

  • @TheMannyStyles do it without a microphone lets see it

  • Thanks to the Russian Basso Choir. I love their low notes: G1, A flat 1, B flat 1 and all. This sounds better when G1 would be mezzo forte.

  • Oh god, what a voice!!!

  • wtf! not any human can do so! just a special gift...only Russian ;)

  • Yuri Wichniakov is not alone in this recording. Boris Tchepikov and Victor Kryuchenkov are singing the solo with him. Thats why you think that Wichniakov is like singing twice. Tchepikov and Kryuchenkov sing the G2 while Wichniakov sings the G1at the very end of the song. Nice recording thou but I still prefer Millers version.

  • 4:53 , is that supposed to be like this? Its like hes singing something twice, like hes stuck xD. beautiful tho :)

  • i want the cd for this or the mp3 album at least what is the album called

  • No it's just said wrong...it is Yuri Wichniakov!

  • is Viktor borther of Yury or something?

  • Sample is a printable page lol

  • Where can I find the lyrics to this? I've looked everywhere I can think to look...

I am afraid this is not the complete lyrics; I have found this much.
  • @RushAndRuleIt On google, look up "do not reject me in my old age". click on the top result which is called Cn 227, on that page you will find manuscript for the whole song. for some reason youtube won't let me post the website link sorry.

  • This is not only Wichniakov right? There are two others as well doing the solo work

  • Where is this low G, anyway?

  • I believe Wichniakov hits the low G at 41 seconds but its a little difficult to hear in this clip. Look at lowest note Vladimir Pasuik & Viktor Wichniakov for the clearest presentation of the low G

  • it's near the ending.

    about 6:36-37

  • 6:36 to 6:41

  • Real music. . . .deep, profound, and may I say, haunting, in a beautiful way

  • The basso profondo singer's name correctly: Yuri Wichniakov (Jurij Vishnjakov or Vishnyakov/, not Victor or Viktor, that's INCORRECT!!! See "Basso Profondo from Old Russia - Popular & Sacred Russian Songs" CD Album (1999) Soloist: Yuri Wichniakov... See also Wikipedia

  • you can feel their voices on your skin

and the bass vibrating in your stomack

    amazing

  • simply amazing

  • Glad you like, On my channel I have versions of this by other profondos as well, each has their stong points. If your interesed feel free to check em out:)

  • Hi there, MusashiTzu!

Thanks for posting so many great clips of russian male choirs, and especially the basso profundos. I've seen both Pasiukov and Miller on photos and footages, but never Wichniakov. Why? Is he still performing?

  • Are there any video available of these guys? Please advise. Thanks. and long live the basso produndo.

  • I am not aware of any, will update if I find some though.
