They stole the riff from Mad Season, and their song "Suicidal Dream" is a variation of the riff from Alice in Chains "Bleed The Freak" ..No one can deny that, and Mad Season is way more talented than this, they have Mark Lenagan, Barrett Martin from Screaming Trees and Layne Staley from AIC, and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam. Mad Season was a real honest supergroup from Seattle, Silverchair, they are just super gay.

Yeh the riff from Mad Season's 'I dont know anything' is almost exactly the same. Either they intentionally copied it or it was coincidence (grunge riffs are simple in structure and that mistake could happen). But I mean what else is fake or conterfeit about Silverchair other than Daniel's Cobain hairstyle? I think they were underappreciated in the US because people labelled them as wannabes without giving them a chance. Its a bitch when superficial politics get in the way of solid music.

I think old Silverchair rocks (notice I said OLD Silverchair). The intro to this song is the extent of its similarity to I Don't Know Anything. After that, IDKA kinda dies out and stays chill the whole song, whereas Slave kicks ass from start to finish.
