  • Dear Santa.

  • I think I was told this uses a similar recoil system of the AA-12 shotgun to defeat a large amount of recoil is that true?

  • You don't need earmuff's outside do you?

  • I just fell in love...

    with a GUN.

  • FPS RUSSIA!!!!! (too)

  • FPS RUSSIA!!!!!

  • what the heck did the fish do for you man? =( u coward, jump there and fight like a man

  • Looking like "rambo gun" with relative low fire cadence, but it's fire the same amunition 5.56 Nato and same muzzle velocity that all assault rifle like M4,AK74,G36,Famas,etc..

If you like heawy guns the 7.62 cal (M60 like) is much better, or the new experimental medium caliber

I like more the light weapons like the FN P90: compact and light, high rate, good precision and power up to 200m with a 5.56 shortened amunition, 50 cartige magazine: looks like a chick gun but very effective...

  • @oiseautempete Two corrections: the AK-74 does not fire 5.56mm cartridges, but instead the Russian 5.45mm round. Also, the P90 fires the 5.7x28mm round, so does not technically fire "shortened" 5.56 cartridges. I understand your point, however. In a civilian market, PDW's seem like a very logical idea, but because most major firefights take place at 300+ meters, you would need a more accurate weapon, like an assault rifle or machine gun.

  • @TheP1NKN1NJ4

You are right for the calibers, y read a bit too fast: the definitive 5.7 from the P90 is "think as a shortened 5.56" but at debut was the ammunition not powerfull ennought...

For the AK74, in think about export models rechambered at 5.56, but yes the original russian army caliber is 5.45mm: this is actualy a bit curious caliber choice, but it's a advantage to can use the most common ammunition (same thing with the early French 7.5mm not compatible with the 7.62 Nato)

  • @oiseautempete Surprisingly you managed to sound remotely intelligent while using phrases like "Rambo Gun" and "Chick Gun" Congratulations.

  • Hey shooting it like it's nothing

  • tatatatatatatatatatatatatatatata

  • dear santa...

  • no actually saw stand for squad automatic weapon and if u think im wrong im a 249 saw gunner in the army with the 10th mountain IN DIV

  • actually SAW stands for Section Automated Weapon in the singapore army :)

  • NOT HATE

    ammo clip looks like balls

  • illegal fish immigrants... I told them it wasn't a good idea to swim through there

  • All I heard was shedededed shededdedede shedededededededededdededed.....

  • Mexican border patrol

  • Repeal the Hughes Amendment to the F.O.P.A. of 1986.

  • I FUCKING LOVE AUTOMATIC WEAPONS ... But I live in Canada and I cant fucking have on and it totaly sucks donkey dick!!!

  • @44BlackAce44 LOL!

  • man, that sounds like a helicopter.... a real 'chopper' gun, you might say.

  • I love that sound

  • You sank my battleship!

  • @BPauxNavy it was primary designed by a brit :)

  • @mchlor hey, i came across and article and i remember correctly, it was claimed that Ultimax is the world no1 automatic weapon with lightest recoil and weight among the current automatic weapons other countries using. Correct me if im wrong =)

  • @Frozensolid999

    AND, its SINGAPORE made.

  • @Frozensolid999 nah, there are better SAWs out there... i personally prefer the m249

  • @BLADEMANDAD Yea,,maybe. i think that article i read is dated to 2008/2007 or maybe a little older. Maybe they have developed better weapons now. =)

  • @BLADEMANDAD i was trained on that weapons platform in 2008 during my service to the army, personally, i still prefer a belt fed weapon when it comes to machine guns, be it light, medium or heavy applications. Changing magazines between 30 rounds is a bitch and the 100 round mag drum is a bitch to load.

  • I know what I want for Christmas this year?(can we still say Christmas?)

  • Now that's fishing!

  • i live in singapore and man that looks accurate and. yea. belt fed or not. this gun is good

  • Machine guns always have that addicting thumping sound :) music to my ears. ALL HAIL Machine guns! RPK, QBZ 95, SA 80 LSW, MG3, FN Minimi, MG 36, and Ultimax.

  • yay singapore made weapon :D

low recoil, steady rate of fire, good weapon :)

  • @Ahamster1 This is actually a 100% american weapon, designed by Jim Sullivan (who helped Eugene Stoner make the M16).

The problem is Sullivan is got so fucking frustrated with the US Military Industry's fear of innovation, they "Military Industrial Complex" that Eisenhower (GOP) warned about is more interested in a long and profitable contract (M16 manufactured for 60 years!) than the excellence that America deserves.

So he took his design to Singapore.

  • accruate...

  • yup my beloved SAW...hmm ..

  • waste of ammo

  • Made in SG

  • Used this back when I was serving in the Singapore Army. Still my favourite weapon to take to war. Especially with the 100 round drum.

  • @firdaus125 Bullshit, they don't let fags into the Singapore army.

  • @SuperRegisteredUser hello keyboard warrior ;)

  • @firdaus125 Hahaha :P

  • ultimax. perfect sound perfect speed perfect I can say.

  • wow i love that gun for sure

  • thats one way to fish... lol

  • this is want the USMC is thinking about switch too in 2010 i herd

  • No,M249GOLF is way better than an ultimax..

  • m249G? you mean M240G

  • @cltcwarlord2 m249 is belt fed so it is better? Something is wrong with the USMC.

  • Were was this at? Looks kinda familiar. Lol.

  • Dude your a fucking retard. The SAW is accruate as shit!

  • You replied to the wrong person, dude. I didn't say anything.

  • My bad bro.

  • Actually, it depends how well u maintain it. SAW Gunner for 6 months in SISPEC. Works very well, if maintained properly. This weapon doesn't work well with blanks, though.......

  • whats the running object he kills at the end?? watch closely

  • there's a possibility that it was an RC car with a canister of something or other on the top. I've seen a few videos that had remote controlled cars for targets.

  • i think it was a rag head running around

  • It was your momma's ugly ass

  • fuck that lake up

  • how many fish did you killed?

  • poor fishes....

  • Damn thing looks like an oversized M1928 Thompson Submachine Gun!

  • yea im no expert but i wouldn't think that shooting a hundred rounds from a c-mag into a creek or pond or whatever that was would be very good for the fish in the water or ne one drinking it

  • lil lead aint hurt nobody

  • wow , tat babe aint gat recoil!

  • Thanks for putting lead in our drinking water.

  • whats that ROF

seems to be pretty fuckin tight

  • I didn't know it could fire from a drum mag. Did they actually feild that? Or are they still using the box magazine for it?

  • does it have that little recoil or is the guy really expirenced?

  • trust me it has a shit load of recoil

  • better design then the m-249 the double drum makes it all that much better

  • your polluting the water with led!lol

  • Have you ever had trouble with jams?

  • Best LMG in the world that nobody seems to know shit about, even though it was designed by an American (Jim Sullivan). It is very controllable due to utilizing the "constant recoil principal" which prevents the bolt from slamming into the rear of the receiver when the action is in battery. Sure it is'nt belt fed, but belts are a complete pain in the arse and reliable drum mags are the way forward, IMO.

  • SRP is something the Germans designed!

  • True...it's basically a very long recoil stroke like the MP40 where the bolt does not strike the rear of the receiver during full auto firing. For some reason, no designers apart from Sullivan have used the principle since WW2, probably because it results in a longer receiver area. Correction, the AA12 shotgun uses constant recoil as well...

  • I want one.. what is it? does not look liek the m249 SAW or what ever the military uses now.

  • WHAT IF THERE ARE BABIES IN THAT WATER

  • lol like no recoil very nice haha

  • yeah i was just gonna say

  • Awesome!

  • is it shooting littel bals it dont even sound

     like its shooting bullets.....

    NOT A GOOD WEAPON

use a gatling gun (much better!)

  • you play to much grand theft auto....

    IDIOT

  • if it's shooting balls, then why are cylinder-shaped casings are ejected after each shot, dumbass.

  • theirs like no kick on that

  • Jim Sullivan (the designer) refers to it as "constant recoil". The timing of the weapon is so that right as the next round goes off, the bolt slams home... cancelling out felt recoil.

    Simple. Brilliant. Simply Brilliant!

  • Made and design for the Singapore Armed Forces.

  • jesus mother of mary, i have never seen anybody fire a Squad automatic weapon with no recoil. The army and the marines need to get their ahnds on this.

  • I doubt it meets their standards.

I'll look it up, so don't flame me.

    Yet.

  • yea probably, marines are already field testing a lmg varient of the M4

  • The SHRIKE? That thing is a piece of shit.

I hope it's something different, because it really does suck.

  • yea true, but it's not the SHRIKE, its some joint production with H&K so it might have some promise

  • XM8?

    Oh wait...

  • no it's not that, its a mod of the M-240, supposedly lighter, and more powerful haha

  • Ah. Is it a variant, or mod? M240G is lighter than the bravo.

Another thing I didn't notice, or care about:

It's not belt fed. That's a major requirement of the SAW field.

Open bolt is almost a necessity also, otherwise cook-offs will happen.

  • It was actually designed and manufactured in singapore. Has no relation to M240. Check it out on wikipedia, and there are videos where you can see someone fire the gun from his forehead, that thing eliminates recoil (don't know how though).

  • The Marines are testing a variant of this weapon. It is a possible (likely :) replacement for the M-249 Squad Automatic Weapon. I have personally fired one of the earlier variant of the Ultimax 100 and it really is an amazing weapon. 3-round bursts at 200 yds from stable position with > 75% hits on 1-foot steel plate. The Marines who have compared this gun to the M-249 says it's a no-brainer: the Ultimax 100 may be the finest LMG on the planet.

  • I've seen it done alot... especially by AirForce Pararescuemen.

  • well, not really...u cant expect the recoil to be so visually obvious...aiming with the ultimax on a target still requires consideration of the smaller recoil

  • Today on Bassmasters, Jim Bob tries out the latest in fully automatic fishing gear.

  • holy crap, no kick back?

  • Jim Sullivan, co-designer of the Ar-15/M-16 uses a "constant recoil" to make this the lightest MG with also the least amount of felt recoil

  • hey omg hey!! i got a fish!! lol

  • tryin to catch fish ?

  • fuck me, thats one easily handled weapon

  • fn fal?

  • The Ultimax failed the USMC test is because it is simply not what the USMC is looking for.

The Ultimax 100 is the lightest MG to date, boast low recoil and can easily use STANAG magazines. However its best point (the magazine) is also its weakest point.

It has low ROF and it cannot sustained prolong auto fire, which the M249 is good at. And furthermore, its design is not belt fed which further reduces it ability to do sustained fire. So it behaves more like a heavy rifle rather than an MG.

  • The best gun Singapore has made to date.

  • don't ever ask why there's lead in your water.

  • There is a difference between water soluble lead salts and lead alloy encased in brass.

  • GET SOME!

  • I thought u werent supposed to shot a gun at water

  • It's quite alright to shoot a gun at water. What you're not supposed to do is fire a gun with water in the barrel or gas system.

  • Ultimax? Isn't it made in SIngapore? Woot

  • you're supposed to use a rod to catch fish, not a M249 :P lol cool vid :D

  • nice gun

  • compensator?

  • lol some poor fisherman down there, OMFG WTF HOLY SHIT lol

  • pretty sweet

  • it does sound a bit like the m60.

  • well....thats one way too go fishin if u forget the rod...and happen to have a big machine gun neaar by XD

  • ow... glad im not a left hander :P

  • singaporan

  • I wonder how does this measure up against m249

  • Well this weapon failed in the USMC SAW trials, when they adopted the M249 (FN minimi) instead. So methinks this Ultimax LMG might have reliability issues.

  • I think they used a MK2 for the trials?

  • Fuck u can kill a whole gang with that baby

  • look at his arm, its barely shaking at all. Either this guy is an expert at countering recoil or the gun has very little recoil.

  • The gun uses the constant recoil concept and has been around for decades. There is NO recoil. It all comes at you in one constant push into your shoulder versus constant jerks with conventional weapons. This leads to extreme controllability. If the US wasn't so in love with FN, we should shoot these!

  • -.- .... the gun does have recoil. He's using rounds with a low powder load. Same thing in movies when you see actors going rock and roll on automatic rifles with virtually no recoil.

  • Hahaha. Those are called "Blanks". There's little recoil because 5.56 is a light round. Try shooting a rifle sometime, 5.56 is soft as hell compared to 7.62x39, let alone x51.

  • cannot believe how incredibly stupid you are. I mean rock-hard stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. Stupid, so stupid it goes way beyond the stupid we know into a whole different dimension of stupid. You are trans-stupid stupid. Meta-stupid. Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Singularity stupid. Stupid gotten so dense that no intellect can escape.

You emit more stupid in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar stupid.

  • dude, if those were blanks, explain the ripples in the water? or did you see that last burst with the ground targets? you really think a blank round can shatter a solid target? man have you been smoking some weed or something??

  • I was replying to the message above mine. In which he mentions movies and how there is very little recoil, because they use "Rounds with a low powder load". The assumption being they shoot (low power) live rounds in movies...

  • I cannot believe how incredibly stupid you are. I mean rock-hard stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. • fn's a proven manufacturer and the minimi is a wickedly good weapon system, prefer carrying one to the gpmg lol

  • Is there a big loss in accuracy in firing the weapon standing or kneeling? That the only way to fire it accurately is to go prone or mount it on something?

  • it all depends on the skill of the person firing , if u can handle the recoil of the gun when firing standing then your good but i would say generally it is more accurate when fired prone or mounted.

  • Does the SAW require the now-and-again barrel change like the 240B or does it cool alright?

  • that guy is just waiting to kill sombody

  • That gun's from singapore right

  • Bullets will ricochette off of water, just like skipping a rock, at the proper speed and agle of incident. At the angle this shooter is using, bullets are no more likely to ricochette of water than your skull.

  • shooting at water is unsafe because bullets CAN and WILL bounce of the surface of water....

  • guns, you are exactly right, i need to edit the description lol..... i didn't really know what i was talking about when i posted.... sry =P

  • come to think of it, I don't really like your SAW.

Sure on the movie swordfish it looks really wicked and all. But in reality on a battle field if our saw gunners ran out of ammo, they can still try to get standard M16 magazine with ammo from a dead enemy or fellow comrade using M16 or Sar21 rifles but with chained ammo it could be a problem with resupply.

    my 2cts

  • look closely you will see the last part of the film is a different footage.

  • Just me or did he shoot a guy at the end???

  • Its a Singapore made Ultimax 100. The lightest machine gun in the world.

  • What the hell was that at the end were you all shooting at somebody? Looks like a bottle of tannerite went off next to him.

  • whats the name of that gun? it looks quiet good and its got not much recoil !! incredible!! looks funny when u're shooting into the water!

  • what rifle was that?

    Galil?

  • looks good??? but its rust easily,,, the magazine take quite some time to fit into the weapon and very unsuitable to fire blanks...

  • Get a haircut

  • What's up with the dude being blown up at the end? That was uncalled for to be put in like that..

  • wow not much recoil sweet

  • block clearer!!!

  • one of the best mashinegun i ever saw, small, light, compact, easy to find ammo 5.45

  • Impossible to miss with, even when I was so sick I couldn't even see straight.

  • But, the main reason that Singapore to built one, it's becasue of the local terrain, Jungle warfare!

  • Generally, it shares the same functions as the M249, for section/squad level cover fire, uses 5.56mm rounds, etc.

  • Ultimax is pretended to be m249 succesor ? Is that true or just some military gossip ?

  • The US marines showed some interest in it.

  • I forgot, also the Navy SEALs use them, or at least used to (in the 80s). Not sure if they still do or what.

  • made in singapore

  • shooting water is not safe for the fish and turtles

  • Its an easy way to kill fish lol.

  • ^Why not?^

  • its not very safe to shoot the water.
