  • hi there, my guild is currently running ToGC, but we are running into trouble with the twin Valkyrie's, we are running in 245 > 232 gear with around 4.5-6k dps (5.2 avg) and tanks 37k unbuffed, but its all to chaotic and everybody dies.

To complete this tactic? what Gear do you tanks need to have? ( paladin )

    thank you beforehand.

  • Fear not TheJagwtf, I haven't forgotten about your post!

If your tanks are geared in the level you say they are, you should be able to tank both of them with a single tank with relative ease.

The tricky part then becomes organizing your raid to switch between the two bosses depending on which special ability they use.

If you'd like a look at the gear I have on currently, just do a search for Danten of Tremor (Korgath server) to see how I roll. :)

  • I love your strategy! We're still using the split method in our 10 ToC run, but I'm curious as we're starting to progress in ToGC :) this seems like a MUCH less chaotic way.

Also, say that instead of Light Vortex, they had casted Dark - would you have all switched essences, and then moved both val'kyr to the other portal? Do you find you have dps problems if all of your dps has to switch essences during the bubble ability?

Thank you so much for yet another great video :D

  • Correct. If they are casting Light Vortex and we have the Dark debuff, we would switch to the Light debuff, start attacking the "Dark" Boss, and then switch to standing near the other portal.

Every now and then we do run into problems of letting the heal get through if our DPS has to switch targets for the shield. For the most part though, if people are paying attention and switch colors immediately, then we're good to go. :)

  • Awesome video, we are going to try this one tanking tactic since we had a hard time with the shield up too.:)

  • Glad I could help! The one-tank method is (in my personal opinion) the easiest method by far. Believe me when I say we've tried multiple methods when first starting the encounter and found none of them to work as well. :)

Just be sure your healers can keep up with the damage going out to the tank and you'll be set.

  • Awsome
