A few a minutes ago I made a comment if I could find the name of the author or the sound track. I was born on 1981, four years after this movie came out. I watched when I was 6 years old.Thanks so much for posting it . I will never forget this tune, such a great song. So sad, so deep...In my opinion makes you feel like you were in trouble or trapped in something and you are crying out for help...

A classic movie and sound track!!! i agree with Miri74125!!!!! I was about 10 when I saw it on the big screen. I immediately fell in love with the movie and music. Yes, this song is classic!!! I am so glad to see the comments from others, with regards to their positive feelings about this song. I fell in love with this music, when I was a boy back in the 70's, seeing the movie by myself. Richard Harris. . God Bless him!!!

I found this song with vocals on iTunes. Look under Ennio Morricone and then check the soundtracks.....I remember seeing Clint Eastwood's picture on the album cover.

You're correct. It is NOT on iTunes. After searching the net I found it at Amazon on a cd of Morricone songs called "Canto Morricone" vol 3. It's produced in Germany. If you can't find it on Amazon, it doesn't exist!

This is a movie that made a great impression on me when I was young. I'm from 1976, so I must have been about 8 when I saw it. I never got the music out of my head. After searching for years I finally got the movie on dvd and the cd with the music. But the theme song is instrumental, not with the singer like in this video. I would be very very happy to know who this singer is... Can someone help me??

same deal, 1975... when i saw it... it was like a hammer to my head. Ended up buy the cd years later... unfortunately the CD version does not have the words sung... its almost impossible to find in any format. Try to grab a stream from youtube using realplayer.
