How exactly is this unconstitutional? The gov't has a legitimate interest in enforcing traffic laws for the safety of all citizens. The cameras effectively enforce the law by getting people to slow down or face the consequence of a ticket. Driving is not a fundamental right it's a privilege. There is a margin in error in the data they record and that data is fine to use against you but must be within the limit most favorable to you for it to stick. They should maintain calibration and maintainence records for their equipment and also be able to show that the operators have the appropriate training. If everyone would get off their ass and fight traffic tickets in court, we would see a wholesale revamping of the system.

The poster of the sign did not have a permit to do so and his claim that the sign was personal property and should be returned was ridiculous because he abandoned it on the side of a public roadway and littered by doing so; the van operator was just picking up trash!

According to our constitution there must be a victim in order for there to be a crime. In all criminal matters a person has the right to a trial by a jury of his peers. Ever wonder why you don't have a right to a trial, lawyer or anything else when it comes to traffic matters, even if you are arrested and jailed? Most traffic violations are not crimes unless you breached the peace. They are a violation of UCC "regulations", not laws. The UCC (uniform commercial code) is nothing more than a club.

And you joined this club by getting a drivers license. In getting your driver's license you agreed to abide by all these rules and regulations. Originally you only needed a drivers license if you used the road for commerce. Then they ruled that ANY use of the roads was commerce. Then they started requiring everyone to have one whether or not they used the road to make money. In the beginning all we would've had to do was tell them to "go to hell". But now we're stuck unless we fight.
