1 its not like in CoD where weight dosent matter. When fully loaded it can not hover because of weight. Also even if i could it would be VERY dangerous

2 It is safer to do it the catapult way

Does anyone know if the nozzles are horizontal or diagonal during takeoff from the amphibs? Can't quite tell from the video.

@Roan0388 The nozzles are rotated down slightly during short takeoff, and are finally rotated aft once enough airspeed can create lift. Also the flaps on AV8B's extend further than conventional fighter/attack aircraft to accomodate short takeoff and verticle landing
