top song!!....one fine day, i m gonna leave you all behind.....it wudnt be so bad...if i had more time...wow....sounds like the story of IN THE WILD...i wanna live that kinda life...superb band...love u oasis!
I believe that Noel had a good comment for their so-called arrogance. A interviewer asked him about their behaviour and things. If it wasn't a little arrogant?, and Noel replied "No. It's called self belief, and there's a difference", Say no more.
I was at one of these two September 1996 Jones Beach shows. I've seen Oasis LIVE thirteen times, but I remember this concert as underwhelming. However, hearing "Listen Up" made it noteworthy.
@SKWalrus I saw someone mention having "front row seats" to this, nothing worse when your in a rock and roll band to playing to a bunch of people sitting in seats tapping their feet (some dont even bother to do that). They have no energy feeding them so they just go into "automatic" mode, probably why it was underwhelming, try going to see them in a standing gig with a crowd thats actually up for it.
@Eezaspanner I've seen several standing Oasis gigs, and not all of them were great either. Of my 14 Oasis concerts, six were truly amazing (including a seated show in Japan). Of those six great concerts, four were standing. But I think it had more to do with the performance, setlist, etc., rather than the fact that I was standing.
I was at this gig and I can still feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as this was the first and only time I saw them play Listen Up live. They chucked the American tour a few days later so we were lucky to see them. Long journey from Glasgow to see them but a lifetime memory.
