  • As a matter of fact I was told by the doctor my blood is prestine! All due to my raw food diet.

  • I have been enemic for years. I was told to take slow FE many times. I finally went on raw food diet and for the first time my iron levels were normal as are my calcium, vitamin D, and liver enzymes are normal. It was such a great feeling. I asked the doctor how could that be? I no longer eat dairy or meat! He had no answer!

  • this is the first time i've watched one of your video's and this is just awesome. There's so much contradictory information out there on iron and it's extremely confusing. Although this was a bit confusing (because i'm slow lol) It was alot clearer and informative than anything else i've found on the net. Thanks alot for posting now I know what to tell those annoying acquaintances of mine who keep asking me where i get my iron from. :)

  • Tim , you rock!

  • best video on youtube

  • Oh hey! Have you tried intellectus 424 diet (just google it)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my sister lost crazy amounts of weight with it.

  • Thanks a lot for this video.How does parsley compare ?-100 grams=133mg vitamin C

    and 6.2mg iron.

  • if you could show how to live off the land by taping yourself in the woods that would be badass. Do you know who the greatest enemies of the public's health is? The FDA.

  • Broccoli and dandelion salad... I'm rock solid... it was actually really good ;D

  • Wonderful information from you as always Tim.

PLEASE!!! keep making these type of videos, you help so many people.

  • Always a pleasure to listen to Tim.

  • In other words: Most vegan diets have low iron absorption because they're not frugivore(the natural human diet of fruits and veggies)

  • @Gary1111001 actually in other words: a well rounded diet is a constituent for all the iron we need. your postulate is that we would not be consuming ANY vitamine C, and that's scientifically and rationally incorrect.

  • I love guys like him, they always make "the Vegetarian Myth" look stupid,.

  • @healthfreak18 I did about 'Lierre Keith and the vegetarian myth debunked'. She ate eggs and dairy 'every chance I got' but in the book says she was a 'vegan full on!'. Liar Keith. Bad girl!

  • Awesomeness.

  • Another good thing with the vegan diet is that you will not take in such huge amounts of calcium. You will get enough but not too much, like it can happen with consumption of dairy.

Calcium can lower the absorption of iron by a great deal.

  • Thankyou so much for sharing this information. I can't tell you how refreshing your channel and other raw/live foodists' are after coming home from my "Advanced" Nutrition college course where veganism is regarded as a fad among insecure adolescents and kale is considered (if you're lucky, it's "considered" at all!) a buffet decoration.

    Chemistry is SO amazing!!

  • briliant! would love to see more videos with this amount of info in them!

  • Awesome stuff! Thanks.

  • Tim, I really appreciate your efforts at educating your audience. May you receive many open ears and minds, and keep doing great work! Thanks.

  • ooo i think i will need to tell my sister about vit c for sure.

  • I am in medical school (MD) right now and a raw, vegan. We just had our lectures on iron absorption and the information in this video is completely correct! Great job, Tim! It is great to see such great information given to a community that really needs to have correct information to make sure that we have a complete diet. Thanks!
