Keen has some points. Creative Professionals are hurt by Internet amateurs. It's easy to get news from a blog, but bloggers are not journalists, they're gossipy, biased & don't necessarily hold to a standard of journalistic ethics (Will they "out" a source? Will they report names of teen rape victims?) And blogs are biased.

Like the experts on FOXnews and mainstream media? No, we get personal accounts of events, we get personal opinions that are not shelved as fact. We get conspiracy theories and religious seperatists and the only things filtered out is gratuitous sex. Cry me a river you if think that is an inaccurate representation of non-virtual reality. "infatuated with our own opinions"? Is this guy serious? He is literally telling us we should not formulate our own opinions, just reflect that of what experts tell us. I don't think it's undermining our culture, I think it's redefining it. While an increasingly monopolistic medium like Fox news tells you what Rupert Murdoch wants you to know, everyday ordinary people on youtube simply cannot be bought. The media is supposed to by by and for the people, and now we are one step closer.

This is scary. Nothing can be farther from the truth here. The media is allowed to tell you only certain things by the government. We dont get it ALL from them by any means.
Truth is: dont beleive EVERYTHING you hear, ANYWHERE, do the research yourself.

What he really means is that the "old boy network" has come to an end at last thanks to us ordinary people being able to talk to each other without TV twisting our words into hatred for each other. We've been lied to by the "professionals" since the first priest existed. When we saw through him, they created another priest (politician) followed by another (scientist). All liars.
