@CounterA11ack It grooves harder this way with quarter notes. With the guitar and clav honking away with the main rhythm, you don't need one more instrument doing that, unless it's locked in like a machine.

very cool indeed! I play this cover in my band too and have also got good results using an octave down effect while playing at the 11th fret on the E string - means I can use my 4 string without having to de-tune/re-tune between songs. Octave effect also gives a great SW type synth sound. Great stuff - keep on rockin'
