There are some issues most people don't think about before using Latisse. I don't wear fake lashes ever, when my lashes grew, my eyes felt heavy and awkward. My lashes started at 0.4cm and are now 0.7cm after one week then I started doing the maintenance routine. Now it looks like I actually have eyelashes. It looks super natural and better than before when I wore mascara. I'm sure I can make one bottle last longer than someone using it 6 weeks straight before maintenance phase. Hope that helps.
@msfamouslopez01 Sorry, I wasn't very clear, but I'm using Latisse. I got a free sample (a 3 ml bottle) from my ophthalmologist's office. I would pay full price for it though, because the look I want is not as dramatic as most people want. I can make the 3 ml last me along time, possibly 4+ months. Also I have bad allergies. The lifespan of eyelash extensions for me is really short because I'm always rubbings my eyes. I love Latisse, but it may not be what you're looking for. Goodluck!
I have tried something called lash factor MD my mom had picked this up for me because i was telling her that i wanted to try latisse but my eye brows are very thin too and the cool thing about the lash factor MD is that it has a side to help your eyebrows grow and a side for your lash i have been trying it out for about two months and i really like it my eyebrows are coming back in places that i havent had hair grow in years so you might want to give it a try you can get it from HSN and its $30
Anastasia has a brow serum that a girl I knew used on her lashes and she had amazing lashes. Maybe try that one? It is close to 50 dollars but seems to be a better alternative for people who can't go to the dermatologist or don't want to wait 6 months to get in to see one.
I love your eyeshadow look today. While I was watching your video I was hoping you were going to share what you had on. So pretty I'm going to buy them. Thanks for sharing & Love ALL your videos. Tracie
Hi there...has anyone tried using latisse for their eyebrows? I have really thin over plucked eyebrows that will not grow back and someone said latisse will help them grow back...anyone??
Have you tried Rivitalash (sp?)? It is similar to Latisse but it comes in a mascara tube and lasts forever. It's around $100 but totally worth it cause it lasts for close to a year.
The one thing that scares me about latisse is that in the commercial and description it says it can cause pigment darkening of the eyes. i have really light blue eyes and i would be pretty disappointed if they changed colors. also $120 haha no.
I am not sure if u know but physicians formula has a similar product but A LOT cheaper. I forgot the name, but trust me it works! I tried it for about 1.5 mths and my lashes were longer. It comes in clear or black
hey makeupgeek i just wanna say that a cheap alternative to using latisse is using vitamin e pills and breaking them open and putting the gel on your lashes. in just 3 weeks my lashes were sooo long it was insane! from the pictures you posted it looked like the after in just 3 weeks! it was insane i absolutly loved it and it worked so so so well!
@ccccoolbeans Thank you for that tip im gonna try it! May i ask did you just soak it on your eye with a cotton pad or something? how long did u leave the E on there?x
i wanted to let you know i have been using latisse for a while and if you buy just a regular eyeliner brush and one drop of latisse on the eyeliner brush it will cover both eyes. One bottle last me close to 4 months and i have been doing this for two yrs now everyday. Averaged out thats just $30 a month. I get compliments all the time on my eyelashes now. The little applicators they give you wastes all that product and like i said the diff is one month vs four months!!!!
Hi Marlena, I was kinda confused on your overall opinion but I was wondering if you knew of a product that was less expensive, that you've tried and had great results with? I'm in college and 120 dollars for a bottle like that is just not on my budget.
Hi Marlena- Gorgeous Look! Have you done a tut on it? If not- I would love that! I'm brown eyed and afraid of blue but it's gorgeous on you. :) Take care and thanks for the vid's! <3
I LOVE my lashes looooong, and i asked my mom about latisse, she is an eye doctor and informed me that most serums that are to make eyelashes grow and get thicker/darken aslo makes your eyebrows darker and thicker, and will eventually make your eye lids and under lower lashes extremely dark as if youve had no sleep. and can actually start to make the iris of your eye darker as well, if you have brown eyes it will be harder to notice but if you have pretty bright blue or green youll deff see.
I've never tried latisse, but I understand the $120 thing. I had an ear infection and I had to pay $120 for the same size bottle of ear drops. Ridiculous
I was at the dermatologist last week and they had a pamphlet there about Latissee. They said after you use it your lashes will go back to how they were before you used it. What a total bummer !
usually if you ask the pharmacist what is the generic brand is the will tell you the name of it so that way you dont have to pay full price for the name brand..
I used the lloreal? think that's how you spell it, lash serum. It's in all drugstores, think it's under $20 too. It worked for me. I pulled a bunch of my lashes when i was taking off my mascara one night and i looked freaky with no lashes lol but i used the mascara with the serum in it and then the actual serum at night on clean lashes. I felt like it worked for me. And it's waaaay cheaper! :)
try rapid lash!!!its only $49.99 but sometimes you can find it at costco 2 for $50. When I first used it after 3 months i was getting so many compliments and everybody always thought I was wearing fake lashes but really I only wore like 2 coats of mascara. I got length, volume and thickness. I've convinced so many friends and family to use it, it is part of their nightly routine. Now since i don't use it as often they are not as full but it if you stick to it everynight it WILL deliver results!!
They actually do have an alternative and it's a lash and eyebrow growth from the false lashes brand ardell it's fairly cheap which runs about 15 dollars and they sell it at target :) also they have a similar one at sallys thats the same one from ardell for 46 but the one from target does a good job either way!
u mentioned lash extensions as an alternative to this. can u do a vid talking about ur experience with them. ive read that its bad to wear make up with them and that its bad to wash off ur eye make up because the lashes fall out etc. but id love to hear ur take on it.
and pleaseeeee do a tutorial on this look. thanks so much
Castor oil gives excellent results for a 6 dollars per bottle ( 8 oz) and its a natural emollient. I started noticing my lashes growing after just one week of using it nightly.
YOU GUYSS SHOULD CHECK OUT NSMineralsdotcom . They have great mineral eye and face products. If you want to see how they work first, come check out my Cleopatra and Holiday tutorials, using the NS Minerals products. :) Giveaways coming soon!
My boyfriend is a pharmacist n he says that the glaucoma eye drop (Xalatan) will do the same as Matisse. He says that that's the side effect of that eye drop but it's just as expensive. Check it out!!!!
I have used Rapidlash, which is around $40-$50, and had comparable results to a friend of mine who used Latisse. They were long to the point where I had to trim, otherwise they hit my glasses. But when you stop using it, your lashes go back to normal.
Your lashes look really nice, before and after. I recently got lash extensions and I love how they make me look like I'm always done up, even when I'm not. I'm lucky tho.. I kno a girl that does them for way less than $100!
I'm looking into getting lash extensions, and the only salon that I know of in my area charges $200 initially, and $20-60 each visit after. What were the ones that you had called?
OMG you look amazing in this video!!! You're always beautiful but as soon as I saw you with this hair and makeup I was like good lord she is gorgeous!!!
dulash!!! i have used it for a year now and it is the most fantastic thing ever. I work at a plastic surgeons office so we get lots of products to try including latisse and nothing has worked like dulash!!! give it a try. you will not be disappointed!
this product DOES turn blue eyes brown. with a ridiculous price and the chance of my eyes changing color just is totally not worth it. but I do have friends with dark eyes who have used Latisse and their lashes look GORGEOUS!
the Bare Essentials Buxom Lash Liner actually made my lashes grow quiet a bit plus it's a really great cream liner on it's own & it's only $15! Makeup by Tiffany on youtube talked about it in a video once on here....like maybe over a year ago.
I gasped when you said $120! You're right; that is ridiculous. You're lashes are fabulous, though (before and after). I just ordered the Urban Decay lash product. I'm crossing my fingers that I have positive results.
I work for a Ophthalmologist us girls in the office we use Lumigan because we get free samples, Patients who have glaucoma were getting longer lashes so what they did they changed the name and added a brush. the bottle looks exactly the same lol.
STIMULASHFUSION is the best product, $100 for a 6 month supply, had mine for a year, used it every night for few months, then once a week for up keep, love my lashes, less nasty chemicals then most lash serums and no ANIMAL TESTING xo
I started on Latissa on September 6th and I was able to make my bottle last until December 6th and I've noticed a huge difference. I keep my eye out on all the local plastic surgeons for Latissa specials.
Rapid Lash, used to be $60 it's not only like $39 at Ulta. And unlike Latisse, your lashes don't stop growing when you're done using it! I personally like the Cargo mascara infused with biotin, that works amazingly. Also, Too Faced Cosmetics makes a clear night serum and a liquid liner infused with the serum for day use. My favorite is probably the Smashbox Lash Perfector.
The effective thing in it is EXACTLY THE SAME with the drug dealing with Glaucoma, which retails for A LOT LESS(only differs in % concentration). Growing lashes was actually one of the side effects of that drug.
I don't understand why women are so into these lash-growth serums. Personally, most of the results I have seen look too long and spidery and just plain creepy-looking, and as you said Marlena, price-wise this is RIDICULOUS for something that only lasts a month or so. I would rather pay $10 for a good plumping/lengthening drugstore mascara, then a few extra dollars for some fake lashes which I can use whenever I need to add extra drama. All the same, I do appreciate your experience/review :)
@xtrmextine I know it may not happen for everyone but I did hear there was a risk of it. If there's any issue with dropping it directly in your eye, then I would think it's not really safe to have around your eyes in general. But that's just my opinion. I know a lot of people who use Latisse and it was fine for them. I just think there's a risk and it's crazy expensive. Cargo's Lash Activator worked amazingly for my friends and I so I wanted to put it out there.
Lots of people say that castor oil helps make lashes grow. I only noticed less fallout, and the roots are lot stronger by I'm not using it regularly :)
Thanks for sharing! I've been wondering about Latisse. Personally, I think I'll stick with the fake eyelashes. $120 (or even $60) a bottle is just too much.
Loreal lash boosting serum it's $14 and works wonders o swear by it I uses to curl my lashes and apply three mascaras now I don't curl them and I only use one mascara so it really works
A tip to make this last 4 X's as long... Put a drop in the concave tip on the lid (outside/top) and cut the brushes that comes with it so it's about the thickness of a liquid eyeliner brush (or you can use a clean eyeliner brush). One drop does both eyes using this method. I also use the non-latisse brand ordered from out of the country. I know there is a slight risk, but its the same product and it comes in a perfectly legit box (like lumigan). I've used both latisse and careprost and love it
I work in a pharmacy, it takes years for rx's to get generics, instead, why don't you try Lumigan. It's the same thing as Latisse , it may be cheaper. That's what I use for my lashes and I have seen a big difference.
I would recommend almay get up and grow mascara. Since I've been using that one I've seen significant results. Better then revlon and rimmel mascaras that are supposed to help your eyelashes grow. With almay you can see your eyelashes get longer and thicker. Also a other trick is to put a very light coat of vaseline on your eyelashes before you go to sleep at night. these are my tricks anyway :)
@ashleightv I have heard there is a risk, but i have very bad dark circles w/out using the product and I have noticed no difference since I have been using the product for the past 3 months. I think because 1. you are using less product and 2. you not putting the drops directly in your eye, the risk of fat loss in the orbital area is less to none.
I place one drop on my finger and that drop goes on both lash lines...and it lasts 9 mos-1 yr. I've loved the results so far, but I am interested in other options if they work as well or better than Latisse.
Place one drop in the lid. Dip in your brush and let it absorb all the fluid. Paint both eyelids top and underneath.
Dip brush back in to get remaining fluid. Go over them a second time and it is still damp to put on your eyebrows or hairline or wherever. I have been doing this for 2 years
My lashes are SUPER long and thick and I go through 2 bottles/year
I've heard castor oil painted in the root of the lash thickens them and makes them grow. Could you try this? Lots of people talk about it in YouTube but I would love your opinion.
Thank you for the review! I've been wanting to try this since the Claire Danes commercial. Will be looking into deals like you got, because $120 is ridiculous. Your makeup looks amazing as always!
After your lashes are at their maximum length, you can switch to every other day. One bottle lasts about 6 mos for me. To get max length and thickness, use everyday until they won't grow anymore (4 mos or so). I personally love Latisse and have used it for over 2 yrs.
There is a generic brand...well sorta I bought the Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara n it came with a Lash Serum... It works great! Ive been using for a month its 5.5ml n its real good now I already have long lashes so I was confused weither or not to use it but it gave me the thickness I wanted. Its by Loreal Paris n I bought it from WalMart it was about 12$
There are some issues most people don't think about before using Latisse.

@prana1978 did you see growth in your bottom lashes?

I'm surprised you haven't heard of any of these!!

Does latisse give you dark eye circles? The other product I was using lilash made my lashes really long but gave me horrible under eye circles
ashleightv 2 months ago
@ashleightv I have heard there is a risk, but i have very bad dark circles w/out using the product and I have noticed no difference since I have been using the product for the past 3 months. I think because 1. you are using less product and 2. you not putting the drops directly in your eye, the risk of fat loss in the orbital area is less to none.

I place one drop on my finger and that drop goes on both lash lines...and it lasts 9 mos-1 yr. I've loved the results so far, but I am interested in other options if they work as well or better than Latisse.

Here is a tip to make them last longer.
Place one drop in the lid. Dip in your brush and let it absorb all the fluid. Paint both eyelids top and underneath.
Dip brush back in to get remaining fluid. Go over them a second time and it is still damp to put on your eyebrows or hairline or wherever. I have been doing this for 2 years
My lashes are SUPER long and thick and I go through 2 bottles/year
Shonntew 2 months ago
I've heard castor oil painted in the root of the lash thickens them and makes them grow. Could you try this? Lots of people talk about it in YouTube but I would love your opinion.

After your lashes are at their maximum length, you can switch to every other day. One bottle lasts about 6 mos for me. To get max length and thickness, use everyday until they won't grow anymore (4 mos or so). I personally love Latisse and have used it for over 2 yrs.
