  • Six Sigma is gay

  • hi, i want to know more about six sigma. I want to become perfect in six sigma. I want to do a JDI, Greenbelt project. Plz tell me how do i learn

  • @matheen1984

    Hi,

First do a google on my papers "Six Sigma Lessons from Deming" on the qualitydigest web site.

    Next, I'd strongly recommend buying:

"Out of the Crisis" .. W Edwards Deming. This is the classic text in quality

"Understanding SPC" ... Don Wheeler. This is the process management "bible".

Unfortunately Six Sigma is far from "perfect". I would advise becoming "perfect" in quality as taught by these quality experts, rather than the many Six Sigma scammers.

  • Hi, I found this very interesting, I like to learn more about this six sigma course, can you introduce me to any web site or any books so I can do some study on this ?? Many thanks.

  • @orp138899

    Hi orp,

Our web site is q-skills dot com . Please email any questions you may have.

I can recommend lots of reading material but probably the best starting point is the classic text "Out of the Crisis" by Dr W. Edwards Deming. Don Wheeler has some wonderful texts and his "Understanding SPC" is widely regarded as the "bible" on quality.

  • these are basic operations management concepts. they can be helpful, but you can learn them just by reading a college level intro to operations textbook. the video doesn't really explain the benefits of using these methods which are actually pretty interesting. video needs some real world examples to be more effective.

  • @Casserole87

    Thank you for your comment.

The product contains many games and exercises based on real world examples. By involvement in such exercises, students gain a far better understanding of the usage of tools, rather than reading about them in a text book.

  • What processes? What exactly does this program do? What kind of defects? Why is this video so unspecific?

  • @bobsocks

The video is just a short glimpse of the product.

The program trains employees in effective use and interpretation of quality improvement tools.

  • six sigma cost more money than what it saves

you pay a blackbelt 80,000$ per year and he or she will save hardly 500 bucks.

big corporate bullshit in my opinion

  • jfmayer,

You should enjoy my articles on six sigma in "Quality Digest".

    Google:

    "Six Sigma Lessons from Deming"

  • I went to see your articles and I read a bunch of links too and I must say it feels great not to be alone cursing at that religion of "sick" sigma. You are right on the money my friend.I loved it. Also I forgot to mention another point in my other comment: it amaze me that people are wondering why their jobs are being outsourced to India, China and Mexico... to be more competitive!??? Just get rid of those power point messiahs and you'll get a truck load of money in the company's bank account.

  • jfmayer,

    Thank you.

Wonderful to see that you have the intelligence to see through the hype and nonsense.

  • in spanish may friend because I don´t underestan well.

    thanks!!!

  • you people are boring. how in the world is this video entertaining??? one word "lame" its tooo boring

  • It's only entertaining if you're involved in quality ;-))

Lots of people think that statistics is boring. I find it fascinating. The fact that six sigma has so many adherents is an indication that many people have a great deal to learn about statistics and quality.

  • Great video, thank you

  • Good Video. Seems like a good method for learning. Have you guys thought about adding Mikel Harry's The Great Discovery process too?

  • Thank you for your comment. I can see no positive contribution that Mikel Harry has made to quality.

  • A higly useful post for beginners. Wishes.

    Salwin

  • definately useful process tools to achieve target

  • Simple and clear overview

    Steven Bonacorsi

Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt

  • Very clear xplaination of the topic

  • great video

  • Very informative and entertaining the same time.

  • It looks like a good product. Great to see a company that does not subscribe to the rubbish in six sigma, like that stupid 3.4 dpmo.
