I saw him in 1996 in california,back surgery was really getting to him.First time I saw him sitting down.It was a pleasure ,he is one of the best blues guys around.

@thejoeb1 aren't you glad his mnager got him off of methadone? From what I hear for the past 3 years he was lowering Johnny's methadone dose, and now he is completely off of it,,,from what I hear.

check it out and report back. Anyways, I'm to know he wouldn't be playing like this if I saw him. it makes me sad, he must be able to tell is he playing horribly, and his voice (was he doing t hat on purpose?) so mumbled and soft. lets get him back and doin what he does best, rocks the world!

I had the very distinct honor of seeing Johnny Winter live at Bogart's Nightclub in Cincinnati, OH. in 1994. An absolute guitar clinic that man put on that night. One of the most amazing blues guitarist of any color or creed still alive an playing on planet earth to date.
