Jesus Christ reigns over ALL! He is Sovereign! SOLI DEO GLORIA! He is one who loves but judges! Hallelujah for He is risen and is seated at the right hand of His Father interceding for His people! There is only one Mediator between God and man and that is the MAN Christ Jesus! Praise be to His name alone! Sola Christus, Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gracia, SOLI DEO GLORIA!
@SrbijaPravoslavlje.. so why the hell did you watch this video, and if you think they are evil so dont get close to them, even more dont even talk about them.
@SrbijaPravoslavlje yes that's right you have figured out evil in the world now that you have it so simplified and figured out take it to the UN so we can solve the world's problems I do not know about islam but christianity says we all are inclined to evil as we are not whole and lack the wholeness required to be wholly good and hence the world needs redemption including you and me you are not outside the world's evil whether you are neither Christian or Muslim!!!
beautiful. i remember the first time i EVER sang in a building even close to this, i was awe inspired to being singing something in the house of God. being able to sing songs about jesus in St.Joseph's Basilica in San Jose Cali, and Grace's Cathedral in San Fran was amazing. For those who are singers, before you die, you MUST sing in a house of God. it was truly a spiritual experience.
[Gaude, gaude,] Emmanuel Nascetur pro te, Israel. Veni, O Jesse virgula, Ex hostis tuos ungula, De specu tuos tartari Educ et antro barathri. Gaude, Gaude, Emmanuel Nascetur pro te Israel. Veni, Veni O Oriens! Solare nos adveniens, Noctis depelle nebulas, Dirasque noctis tenebras. Gaude, Gaude Emmanuel Captivum solve Israel!
Is mass served on the altar under the baldacchino or in front of the Throne of St. Peter? I've seen pictures of the first but it appears as though the people are facing in the opposite direction here.
This is my favorite Christmas song. I love the words and the music. For the longest time I could not reconcile the bright exuberance of the message with the lugubrious, somber sounding music. But then it occurred to me that the song speaks of a downtrodden Mankind - desperate, dispirited people hanging on with a dwindling hope of salvation. Recall the American forces freeing the Jewish people from the death camps. There was no raucous celebration by the prisoners, only tears of joy.
Please pay for all the food that is given to orphanages and to the missionaries in Africa, Pay all the bills for the lights inside the Church and the electricity for the microphones and the instruments, please pay the little wages that the priests get so they can do their little shopping and maybe survive, please pay for all the restoration of old churches, please pay for the restoration of various priceless artifacts...
...Please pay for the fares and petrol each priest needs to go from one parish to another. Please pay for countless pilgrims who travel from one pilgrimage site to another in hope that they will be healed.... please pay for the publishing of some many great works of our past saints and great teachers, these are just some of the bills that the Church needs funds for. But heyy.. are willing to pay for all these things yourself then? Like that the Church wouldn't need to ask.. Merry Christmas
@Sofedup God doesn't need money, but WE do, if we want to give the best to God for his worship... why must casinos and hotels have so much splendor when it is GOD that deserves it?... not that he needs it... HE DESERVES IT, and even more than this church, this church is NOTHING compared to HIS Glory.
Before I die I want to go to St. Peter... when I watched this video I was so elevated that I wanted to praise God all night... unfortunately the faces I see in this video don't seem too aware.
Pope John Paul II - mysticaly slept in April 2005, just like Lazarus -, present Pope Benedict XVI, and "the Little Pebble" i.e. Pope Little Peter Abraham II.
Veni, veni Emmanuel! Captivum solve Israel! Qui gemit in exilio, Privatus Dei Filio, Gaude, gaude, Emmanuel Nascetur pro te, Israel. Veni, veni o oriens! Solare nos adveniens, Noctis depelle nebulas, Dirasque noctis tenebras. Gaude, gaude Emmanuel Nascetur pro te, Israel.
Although rather what you're listening to is 1) the end of the chorus 2) Veni, O Jesse virgula, Ex hostis tuos ungula, De specu tuos tartari Educ et antro barathri. 3) [Chorus] Gaude, gaude, Emmanuel Nascetur pro te, Israel. 4) Veni, Veni O Oriens! Solare nos adveniens, Noctis depelle nebulas, Dirasque noctis tenebras 5) Chorus
Wow I wish I was there. I really wish that I coculd havve been there in one of the late Pope John Paul II christmas mass. It would havev been a blessing.
@gotheight If Pope Benedict XVI keeps doing what he's doing for the Church, he may become even greater than John Paul II. Making the Tridentine Mass the Extraordinary Form, and building a bridge for Anglicans to enter the Church were two of the best moves by a Pope in a long time. God bless Pope Benedict XVI!
absolutely beautiful i too wish to attend mass at the Vatican at least once in my life i have that dream and i hope with God's help to achieve it.

There is always a Mass going on in St. Peter's, but it's not always at the main altar or a Papal Mass. mass is done at at all the different altars.

TY for the glimpse of the Vatican, very decadent indeed. Reminds me of the George Carlin Skit they play in Zeitgeist
" God loves you , but he needs Money, He always needs Money,
He's all powerful, all perfect, all knowing and all wise, somehow, just can't handle money."
Religion takes in Billions of dollars, they don't pay taxes and they always need a little more, now you talk about a great BS story...
God doesn't need money, those who are supposed to represent him do?
