I just watched the log-driver cartoon, which is utterly charming. Then I watched this rendition, which is also entertaining, you and the cat need to take it on the road.

Put a little more body into your singing, you have a very pretty voice. I liked it, and the laughing made me laugh.

A late friend from Alberta introduced me to this song, along with other Canadian folk songs like the Black fly Song (I'm in the UK, so they were all new to me) a few years ago, and hearing this has brought back some great memories. Thankyou so much for posting

They were designed in Canada, by J. Chalmers Doane, but were made it Japan. If the ukes you saw were also triangular, I'll bet they are the same.

Thanks- he is a real character. I can't tell yet if he really likes the ukulele or really hates it. I have a feeling he doesn't care, as long as it doesn't get in the way of sleeping on a person's lap.
