  • Only heard the Raw remix without a lot of these lyrics and no young Kool G Rap. This one is great as well. This is hip hop, not today's flip flop.

  • @TheLoganHalsall...I thought we could use this forum to agree or disagree with our likes and dislikes and not for disrespect. Obviously we aren't from the same era of Hip Hop, and normally I wouldn't entertain your comment...Naaaah, I think I will. I'm dedicating two songs to you, the first is "PUNKS JUMP UP TO GET BEAT DOWN" by Brand Nubian and the second "I SEE THE BITCH IN YOU" by Common...Enjoy!

  • This is called Its A Demo..... was on Kool G Raps demo tape.

  • Wheeeeeeeew....Straight lyricist ! No gimmicks, just raw talent that cannot be measured. How can you listen to a delivery such as this and then turn on the radio to listen to "Hip Pop"...You simply can't. Wacka Who?...Whiz Who?...Young Who?...Lil Who?...Soldier What?...C'mon, maaaaan !!!

  • @mydaddysrecords1 shut up dude cmon seriously, buy a fucking time machine, he may be a great lyricist but times have changed and this shit is outdated, wiz khalifa a good rapper, and so is lil wayne, and ur a dumbfuck to try compare waka flocka and soulja boy to big daddy kane.

  • @TheLoganHalsall Dont matter if times hav changd. What ur saying is we shud just accept that most new artists have no talent. Da greatest rappers of all time can do multies. No new commercial garbage can do multies. These new talentless bubbl gum rappers dont hav u pressing rewind cuz their lines r so effin easy 2 remember. I'm sorry bro but some of us got high standards and some like urself accept trash. 4 all yall dat r true rap fans support the GOATs n da good underground artists. Nuff said.

  • @TimQuint72 they use any person willing to sell their souls unknowingly. They know that Big Daddy Kane has influence at that time over a group of people they couldnt reach. He like most of the entertainers are just pawns.

  • man the fan base be changing its more about the bling now, i miss this old school hip hop

  • These new rappers are so generic today. They need to learn from the true m.c.s

  • hip hop is trash today, Greedy record execs give a half ass MC a cash advance, tattoo them up, give them a hook and tell them they need a song by 5pm. Skillz don't sell air time.Gimmicks do. Miss you hip hop. Thanks for post like this

  • Lil Wayne, Birdman, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Soulja boy made five accaunts so they can dislike this vidio..

    DADDYYYYYYY forever..

  • Sounds like Kid N Play

  • Kane is clearly the Godfather of Fire....Always in my top three MC's. To do what he did breakin' in tha biz is unparralled as a solo mc.

  • RAP at it's best...LONG LIVE THE KANE.

    (OLD SKOOL RAP 4 EVER.)

  • The two greatest of the Juice Crew on the illest Marley Marl instrumental! For a source of guidance when writing, I think of these two as my competition, and compare my lyrics to theirs as if it were a battle.

For some Golden Age inspired Underground Hip-Hop, check out my demo "Track Terminator" by Complex Mentality. If you're feed up with mainstream nonsense, this might give you hope that the true styles will return. Search for it right here on YouTube: "Complex Mentality - Track Terminator"

  • SO FULL OF ACTION MY NAME SHOULD BE VERB killing theses clowns

  • BDK verse sound like his verse from AINT NO HALF STEPPING

  • @lucienjonathan part of it is from aint no half steppin

  • One word........SUBLIME

  • im a hip hop junkie,,,,,for what lol 30 yrs lol and just heard this for the first time lol im buggin cuz im from ny and this one slipped past me,,,,,i mean i have a sick archive and had to add this to it, 2 of the premier mc's in the game!!! 1 in 1000 of what comes out today can come close....

  • @k1ngp1nga lol nothing that comes out today can compare with this.... nothing son

  • Still as real as it can still get.

  • Spirit Material Sign

  • is it me or..... could Guccie Mane be Kool G Rap's retarded clone?lol or nephew maybe?

  • @MrQuestone Gucci Mane is the worst rapper I've ever heard. Kool G Rap is light years ahead of that retard. Gucci doesn't rap anything like G Rap either...

  • @ksiazekenicu you obviously dont know hip hop..the stuff from the early to mid 90s is my favorite shit but if your talking strait rhyming none of them dudes not even nas big or big L could touch G rap kane or rakim they laid down the blueprint for the other dudes to make their style plus they could rap circles around them anyway

  • @ksiazekenicu Blasphemy. No true hip hop head would ever say that. BDK and G Rap are the two that basically got people into punchlines and the multi syllable rhyme scheme, along with Rakim. Without those 3 Pun, and Biggie wouldn't be spitting the kind of heat they do. And they are amongst my fav emcees ever.

  • @ksiazekenicu Big Pun said so himself he emulated his whole style from Kool G Rap... You sound like a complete moron saying something like that, you obviously know nothing about Hip Hop. Kool G Rap is your favorite rappers favorite rapper and that's real talk.

  • @cormegaful Pun's style sounded like a mixture of G Rap, and Shabazz The Disciple.. BDK is dope, and so is G Rap, you alway gonna run into people who know nothing about hip hop. Its not worth it arguin with them.

  • this was the original and g put some verses in jive talk

  • yo this shit is crazy

  • G Rap used some of the lyrics from "Jive Talking" on this...

  • yep late 80's early 90's. this was a top rapper.

  • this is badass. no one else come close!

  • why does g rap sound so different in this?i barely hear the lisp.. but i dont give a shit what anyone says, lisp or not dude is a legend and one of the greatest, i agree with someone else though, he makes too much mafioso rap

  • HOLY SHIT! NO ONE IS BETTER THAN THIS!

anyone know where the lyrics are

  • Two great tastes that taste great together....Kane and G Rap

  • I know this is Kane's vid...and a crappy dub of some old Red Alert or Chuck Chillout radio mix but let's take a moment to remember G Rap's greatness. OK, I'm biased. I grew up in Corona/East Elmhurst. I used to see dude rapping in the weed spot. I remember his fucked up house with a master lock through the hole where the doorknob should be lol. He kind of sold out with the "mafioso rap" and whatever but as a pure lyricist...dude couldn't be fucked with.

  • Kane made u pull out the dictionary... that's all i'm sayin

  • KURWA MAC:] POZDRO PL ;]

  • ppc to je!

  • @Durex9005 what?

  • "like chaka kahn-i feel for you" this is real rap. Not like that soulja boy bullshit!

  • BDK got me started in the rap game back in the day but the more I heard Kool G Rap, I became a fan. G-Rap is by far the best there has ever been. He has never fell off. G-Rap was and still is beyond his time. The dude is a straight up verbal director.. Most under-rated dude. G-Raps' work belongs to tommorow.

  • @BellFamily2009 i think kane and g rap were on the same level.

  • Big Daddy Kane was sick with the lyrics. Kool G Rap was also extremely nice with lyrics. The only problem with Kool G Rap he has that lisp talk that she was wack hearing him rap with a lisp. If he didn't have that speech problem his career would proberly went a bit further..That Lisp Shit was kinda wack.

  • @ShaAllah7 hip hop went underground

  • hes forming the masonic symbol with his hands,a pyramid with the all seeing eye at the top of it,

  • @DaAlphaOmega yo y the fuck would bdk be a mason?man if you look hard enough everybody can be considered a mason cause of unintentional hand gestures caught in pictures fuck if thats the case im a mason cause i have a pic throwing up the roc

  • @MGSmokedout the "Roc" diamond is a symbolism for the masonic pyramids they worship real simple fact... Jay-Z didn't start using that til after he became an initiate. Its pretty harmless to be a mason UNLESS you want to climb the ranks... Then you get pulled deeper and deeper into the occult. There are 33 degrees for a reason... and to be come a Master Mason... (Which Jay-Z, Eminem, RZA Raekwon and others have acquiesced or transcended)You only need to reach level 3... Do the knowledge...

  • @septkone I really think you need MORE SLEEP!!! Has anyone ever told you catz that this is supposed to be about commenting on THE MUSIC, not a history lesson on some s**t that no one REALLY CARES about!!!!

  • @daboss88100 You sleep too much, I wouldn't be posting under the video if i wasn't listening to the music you douchefart also, wasn't talking to you anyway... BTW Kane is still a LEGENDARY Emcee aside from the prior rant. Long Live Hip-Hop!

  • @septkone You posting masionic bulls**t on a site thats supposed to be commenting on music videos and songs, imbecile...if you want "intimate" comments hit em up 1 on 1, not in a forum ANYONE can respond to!!! Oh yeah, i'm talking TO YOU!!! lmao

  • @septkone i just feel that thats completely undermining them as artist you are basically saying they have success because they are masons not because they make good music or that them being a mason gives them super powers which make them good musicians?(this is what ive taking from what most people have said correct me if im wrong)

  • @MGSmokedout To a degree I can totally agree with where you stand on the subject. I don't think its a super power to be a mason by any means (more like joining a fraternity of dubious means) at the end of the day entertainment is entertainment and whether you can appreciate a talent or not is strictly the choice of the audience, not resting on socio-political impact. Kane and G Rap are two of my all-time fave emcees, but all the clandestine shit occurring today is NOT a natural part of hip-hop.

  • "Fuck around with can a come out black and blue for this"

  • aiyop g why dont you put your eyes where my joint iz...

  • OK WHERE'S THE REST??

  • some of g raps are on 1 of his albums but just a couple of lines

  • @TheRalphus666 so are big daddys kane they couldnt think of something when mcs go blank they will throw in a line that they have used before as a way to buy time to think

  • This ain't the original raw. This is just a "freestyle" that these cats did on the good ol' WBLS Mr. Magic Rap Attack show in the summer of 1988. I think Kool G's verse in freestyle but if you listen, alot of Kane's lyrics on this appear in songs on his next album, his 2nd album, which came out in 1989. I can't remember hearing Kool G's lyrics on any of his albums after this freestyle though.

  • crunk617

    MY MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • where can i get the lyrics for this, i been searching high n low, i wana rap aswell to it on a microphone, ill murder a beat just my hype alone. ,,,,haha had ta try it haha i love this track i listen to it repeat for aaages i love the word play ....big daddy n G rap make a great rap couple. they remind me of the sega sonic and knuckles,,,, had ta doit i love rymes, peaaace !!!!!

  • this song bring way back . i remember when i was in the project hall not blunt joints nickle bag , and dime bag were in the little yellow envelope and you got a nickle or a dime that was money spent well and then there the cutlass car, two door, with the boomrang ant, and a can of budwiser in between the leg just cruising. i not promoting drinking and smoking ,if you remember the 80's there was no laws, about drink a beer, while driving

  • lengendary mc;s

  • No MC today is f-ing with these two legends

  • @crunk617 UMMM...AINT NO MC'S TODAY JUST A BUNCH OF RAPPERS!!!!...YA DIG?

  • @crunk617 No lie about that. That's something that needs to be told to so-called Hip Hoppers who love and respect clowns and faggots like Puffy,Lil Wayne,Drake,50 Cent,Jay Z,and other sell outs who can't rap for shit.

  • i remember when this was played on Mr. Magic in Oct. 88. I had it on tape and was rewinding back so much it the tape popped. G. Rap killed this track so much Marley Marl buried this and it never saw the light of day again.

  • I use to let my tape rock till my tape popped...

  • @bigtom2021 HECK YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

  • "Jive Talk". reply if you know what i mean.

  • I know what you mean. Kool G Rap later used the same verse on "Jive Talk" from Wanted: Dead Or Alive. I think he repeated it in the second verse.

  • hell yea

  • All dance as a teenager and still dancing. Beats like this is what's up!

  • NYC, home of the spitters....you really got play this like 3/4 times to even comprehend what G Rap said !!!!!

  • This was the real shit, and you don't hear this any more.

    Hip Hop is dead!!!!!

  • PURE MURDER ON DEM MIC!!!

  • two juggernauts

  • wu tang clan and juice crew some of the best to ever do it. stop comparin them they each got there own styles.

  • meth said "Star wars Im han solo, with three egoes

And three charges, I got to see-three-p.o.s". CRAZY

  • nice mix.

  • even though i hate the term swag, even in that old school beats new artists, big daddy kane was just so smooth onthe mic, and we all know how wicked the kool genius of rap is

  • kool g rippped it

  • Like Chaka Khan I feel for you...too dope!

Both guys ripped the mic to shreds. No rapper today comes close to that, its a shame.

  • Today's overrated mainstream rappers just can't come close to this...

  • i agree especially the one's they call lyricist, like a kanye or wayne they ain't nowhere near this yell

  • they both hot!...they don't go in like this anymore!

  • Most rappers these days can't freestyle no longer than 30 seconds without stopping

  • bdk killed tha beat but g rap murdered it

  • Bring some mothe fucking bandges he murderd this beat!

  • g rap tears dis shit up. kanes damn good but g raps better

  • i beg to differ

  • the're so similar in some ways and different in others. both rap hard and master word play and metaphors. kane is smoother, g rap is rougher. kane may have been a little wittier but g rap was more hardcore. just depends on what you like. i think i like kane just a little more.

  • Much of Kane's style came from G. Rap though. G. Rap combined the original style he pioneered on "I'm Fly," w/ Rakim's smooth flow. Kane was awesome too, but he borrowed heavily from G. Rap's style. G. Rap even talks about how Kane played him 'Long live the Kane," (before it was released to the public) and how similar it was to G. Rap's own songs & style. Don't get me wrong, I love Kane too.

  • yeah, i mean i notice similarities between their flows and they're two of the illest to me. i think they've had influence on each other if anything. I'd have to hear Kane say his style came from G Rap before I would believe that. Dude pretty much had his own lane, G rap did too. Now if you want to talk about influence. I mean, Method Man said that Capadonna taught him how to rhyme. I think most of us would agree that Mef is way iller.

  • i actually like Cap better, but Meth is cool too. Kane is awesome, no question. G. Rap said it himself. "Kane was already great, but he did borrow things from me." If you listen to Kane's cuts from '86, they wee vastly different (more old school). You're probably right though. They hung out constantly & did rhyme together a lot.

  • Cap iller than Mef? Word? You think so? I actually got to meet him at a show we both performed at for Tommy Boy records. He did his thing but I dont think he can come close to Mef especially when Mef was in his prime. Even if I gave Cap the lyrical edge (and i dont lol), I think Mef got him with the delivery, flow, punchlines, etc. etc.

  • Well, for me, Meth's rhymes aren't as complex. He does have great flow though. Cap has a way of flowing one line into another, and breaking up syllables in crazy ways to do it. I think Meth definitely has the advantage in the punchlines though.

  • I see what you're saying yeah, those Wu cats have different signature styles (you can say the same for G-Rap, Kane and the rest of the Juice Crew), thats one thing that makes them so ill as a crew but also makes for a great debate regarding "whos better than who". Cap nasty though for real, he spit a ill freestyle back stage of the show. My favorite by him will always be his verse from winter wars.

  • YES! but thats all, cap is kinda wack to me, but he did get it in on winter wars

  • I can see why a lot people like Meth better. He def goes all out in his music, plus he's got a lot of energy & great personality. They do have a lot of differences in their flows. Both good, but different, even though meth was influenced by him.

  • Comment removed

  • just my opinion, i've heard the songs you recomended. even still thats how i feel, :quantity i'll give you that but quality give us all break! PEACE!

  • i agree, g rap did an interview in rap pages years ago he said kane did a lot of style borowin.

  • That might've been the same interview I saw that in too. Thanks for the cite on that.

  • i beg to differ too yell
