EZ-Pro Dovetail Jig from General Tools (Part 2 of 2)

I just bought this jig and love how simple it is to use BUT my pins portion is too shallow for tails to fit without them hanging halfway out. What did I do wrong? I am using 1" thick wood could this be the problem?

@KidKoala98 probably didnt set the depth plate properly.

Thanks for the demo, I found it very helpful. I had looked at one but at just under $40 dollars I wasn't sure it would do the job... Now I know that it can, I'm getting mine tomorrow. This will save me over $100.
