rajang is also very easy with:

greatsword, evade+2 and evade distance+2 (can now role through anny mover and you can completly rape him anywhere you want

hammer just dp and sp his head all the time(takes about 1 hour practice)

I never fought the Rajang with the SaS or DS, maybe I'll try.

I prefer using the Lance, Gunlance or Hammer with rathalos or ceanataur S armor. I aim only for the attack power xD

i think that short sword are useless :rajang's attacks are very strong, and you can' t defend from them, maybe you can do that only with the gunlance. so, for more attack points use the long swords!

Use C.Blango Decimator its a very high raw weapon so you can crush rajang if you look for openings and use shock traps in rage mode

yup just get any strong bow and evade+2 (trust me) and aim for the head they will break in no time

or you could try hammer and break them a little faster/slower depending on how good you are with hammers

you must kill the first one before 10 mins or else his buddy will pop up and double team you. its not hard i recommend bowing it and sticking to his left at all times.

actually use dual blades like the freezing daggers they may not do alot of dmg but it makes up for the ice attribute as 320 so those are pretty good for the rajang and good armour like the kirin armor as well and i gruarantee you'll kill it i did in like 10 mins

here's a tip for the up and coming mounster hunters for fighting the rajang is attack his tail if you like me that is were stuck on the rajang quests because he would kill you because of his rage mode attack and speed boost well if you break his tail he will not go into rage anymore and also this tip is more reccomended for the 1 on 1 rajangs because of the duration of the battle

I've actually found that the easiest (read: less stressful) way to kill Rajang is with the bow. The basic strategy is to just always have an arrow charged and ready to hit him in the face or forearms while always moving to the left (this is because most of his moves start with a right lead). I did it in MHF2 with the Akantor bow and Dark Akantor with Rathalos Soul U chest, but I would imagine you can do it with any gunner set and a strong bow.

I just did the 9* rajang quest from the felyne elder yesterday. The easiest way to kill it in that mission is to use your cat to distract it while you get hits in then when he's in rage mode just leave the area for 1 minute. Come back and repeat.

I probably could have done this but I didn't have any flash bombs and I couldn't be bothered to go and gather flashbugs. Also I like to play very safe, on a lot of the high rank quests I just leave the area when they are in rage mode. Its obviously not the best way to do it but its ok for me. Also I think I forgot to bring traps with me. My cat has the Shock trap ability so he put one down for me.
