How I loved this show. It was a forerunner to so many, including Sex & the City, though far superior to them all. We don't get quirkiness on TV anymore, or intelligence, or true wit, or style. Blair Brown was sublime, as was the cast, and not to mention the guest stars. Anyone who has not seen this show is in for a treat. If it ever comes out on DVD!
I came to find this after I saw Strathairn just won an Emmy. MAn I loved that Moss character, and then she ended up having to choose between him and the hottie.
I need to see the series finale. It's been years and I haven't found it. I love this show, but I was left hanging. What finally happened to Molly? Thanks for putting this on!
Newbies won't GET what's happening here (understandably).
Her father "appears" to Molly in the bathroom mirror at the moment he dies, then the phone rings to inform her of the bad news and she exits the apartment immediately, leaving Moss stranded in the kitchen.
There were SO MANY great moments on Molly's show: Moss reciting D.H. Lawrence in his store (right in the middle of a book signing by a Jacqueline Susan-type "writer").
The vigilante bug sprayer who treats Molly's apartment as a "mission" rather than a paying job.
Molly's being invaded by a "language instructor" in a disturbing scene of a type of emotional rape (even though all he does is dance with her in the living room).
I barely remembered the show from when I was a kid, but this scene in particular knocked me out. Funny, shocking, dark, brilliant. I Heard there are song rights problems is why it's not available
I had a major crush on David (Moss.) Still do.
