I love Ramona, she reminds me to be real because I once thought just like her. I remember being 6 and just DYING to be 8 like "Ramona Quimby: age 8". Now I'm 29 and teaching kids each day and whenver I say "because I said so", I remember Ramona, who never would have mouthed off, but never would have accepted "because I said so" as a legit answer either. :)

I remember taking spelling tests this way all through elementary school. I always loved how teachers always said that there was no such word as can't, and I always thought the same thing...of course it's a word! :-)

Uhg I hated how teachers use to use our spelling words in sentences.

It was just very annoying to me. I know the word, you dont have to dumb it down by using it in a sentence.

And these words seem a bit hard for second graders
