@VisciousHammock @KaiserVadin It's funny to read your comments now they actually did make a 3d remake of Lufia II, and they used the same music from the original. All they did was re-arrange the songs a little bit, but that's probably because that had to be done anyway since the DS uses a different sound chip than the snes did. So in hindsight... You were both wrong :p. I must confess I didn't expect that either, but still I don't get why you think a 3d game needs different music than a 2d game.

I listened to both of your versions. Here's what I think:

The original has much better normalisation and volume balance. The main riff dominates this version too much, and the bass is far too quiet.

I feel the bass in the original is too "twangy", and it's the same in the newer version, just quieter.

The guitar sounds much cooler in this version, and the ending is much better.

I don't like the reverb applied to the strings. The string track in the original mix sounded perfect.
