@poweralpha2011 Not sure what you mean by minimum... The worst computer could run it too, only you would get 5 fps... For good results you need a CPU with lots of MHz, like at least 3 ghz. Multiple cores help litle. You need a strong graphics card for this particular game too. what kind of PC do you have?

@EndlessElusion Then you should try to raise the resolution. The more of VU cycle & EE cyle speedhacks you use, the lower the framerate is that the game renders at (Lower framerates rendered=easier for the cpu and gpu=more speed). What framerate you can get the game to run at full speed is not only depending on the gpu, but also the cpu. However, the resolution is fully the gpu's stuff. So go to gsdx settings and use the scaler, and try 3x and 4x. See wich of them still give full speed.

All of the potential PS2 developers groaned when Sony announced that the PS2 would only have 4 MB of Video RAM..... this games shows why. This is an awesome game but it would have been far better realized on the Xbox. Of course I can't imagine Sony ever developing for the Xbox ;)

@INNUENDO88 Ok, no backward compatibilty because the ps2 games sell very nice till this day, and xbox's do not. They still gain money from the ps2, while M$ left it to die, not releasing any games for it anymore. I'm not a graphic whore, while xbox 360 mutli games do look better, I can still play the ps3 ones. My xbox 360 died on my, so I lost my trust on it. wifi+free internet+no hardware problems are what keep me with ps3. plus loads of exclusives, which 360 clearly lacks.

The scaler works perfectly for sotc, the offset errors are completely gone with the hidden offset hack enabled. Although I don't like how it's called a "scaler". That sounds like as if the rendereing was at original res, only stretched out... Whereas it is truly rendered at a multiply of the original res

Youtube cannot hold 60 fps videos, it converts everything to 30 fps, and for that reason, I've made the videos to be 30 fps in the first place... But I can make a 60 fps exapmle video and upload it on megaupoad maybe...

The sound recording is very buggy, it messes my attempts up a lot of times >_< It should be in the directory where you put the video file, as a separate wav file, but most times the sound file just gets corrupted.

I don't do anti-aliasing, it's better to use higher internal res.

I've done a little investigation, i did find some 60fps videos here on youtube, and I concluded that only the lowest resolution plays at 60 fps. Not even the 360p, but only the 240p version. I think there's no point in making such an upoad, so I'll just stick to megaupload... or vimeo maybe : \

Well real life horses aren't small either It may surprise one who never saw one up colse before in real life...

But a real trick I noticed they do use in this game is how they take use the field-of-view ratio or viewing angle. Shadow of the colossus generaly uses a FOV that looks like as if you were looking with a narrow-angle (telephoto) objectived camera, or a telescope or something. The depth (Z axis) is compressed, making things look closer and bigger.

Actually, the reason why I don't post my specs is that it doesn't matter : D

Anyone could make this vid, even with the worst desktop ever... pcsx2's capture function just captures all the rendered frames (voth video and audio) so it plays back full speed.

But independant of that, I do play at such resolution and framerate at full speed as sown in this video.

@INNUENDO88 Well on of the things of this plugin was to make shadows stronger if you want . It ads more vivid colors and more deep witht pallete I used you see it whean i fight the colossus. To try the ENB just dln one of the enb series mods and drop it to the main Pcsx2 folder. You have to use the DirectX9 plugin fullscreen.
