The song is the extended version of Simple Minds "Speed Your Love to Me". Interestingly the video is taken partially from the Simple Minds videos for "Speed Your Love to Move" and "Waterfront"(the crowd shots) and "Sanctify Yourself" - the shots of Mel Gaynor - the drummer from Simple Minds .. and the brief shot of Jim Kerr flying across the stage ...- My favourite Band and I'm thrilled that this is still used since the 80s ... BRILLIANT !!!
Iv'e grown up with RAGE, the intro and outro theme are like a warm blanket. So many memories whenever i hear them of bein really young and my teens, of staying up late to watch it, and getting up early to check out all the new music before the internet was around, of getting home from a party and just chillin out to rage and waking up to the outro theme. I hope they never change the theme, that'll just kill it.. thumbs up if you know what im talkin about :)
The ABC better not even think about axing this program! Aside from an clunky, unpolished 5pm program on C31, it is the only decent music show on free-to-air.
And I'm glad it will soon take the mantle of longest running music video program in a couple of months, over Video sHits. VH was ok back in the early early days, but Ten fucked it with their irritating bullshit co-hosts.
Original opening and closing to Rage is still good as long they keep to it's format now that it'll become the 2nd longest running music show in the world after Eurovision now that Video Hits is axed.

This used to scare the hell out of me as a child. Whenever it would come on I would literally run out of the room screaming in terror.
