@DCUPtoejuice my interpretation is that the relationship has gone on so long, and they've hurt each other so much that nothing really hurts anymore. "no sacrifice" in this context something like, "don't worry about it" or "it's no problem". i guess it's left to the listener whether it's meant "straight faced" or if it's meant in a more biting way.

I'm a big fan of Elton John's, and don't know Sinead's music that well beyond some hits.

And...when I first got this Elton John cd,I really liked some of the covers, and was lukewarm on others, but this was the cut that stood out the most. Easily the best of the "album" and one that greatly elevated what I felt was a so-so so Elton John track. Absolutely haunting.

I've been writing and editing while listening to this, and only saw some of the slideshow...will return to it.

Most of my images are created from stills downloaded and then manipulated with "GIF" Creator. The software I use is simply Windows Movie Maker on Xp Home Upgraded to Service Pack 3 and Pixelan SpiceFx 4 for extra transitions and custom effects.
