The look of the actors (and the camera) isn't very 80s at all, but it has many good staples to possibly make this a classic of the modern era. More work should have been put into casting and making the characters look the part, BUT, I think that I'll buy this come winter 2012. Nice hammer-throat effect btw!
I'll watch it. BUT, you need a different voice artist. While I have no formal training, I can do a pretty good Percy Rodriguez voice, which I think would be better than the one chosen here. It's the voiceover that makes it sound newer or even like a parody. No offense to the actor himself, just wrong for this trailer.
Come on it's a classic good old fashion horror movie they way they should be made the hell with all this cgi and 3D bullshit who needs it .I miss old fashion movies likes these .

I think that the trailer has the right 80s look, but it doesn't have the right sound to match 80s sensibilities.
