Theres still good metal bands at download but when i look at 2005 lineup there was so many bands i wanted to see whereas now theres just only a few good bands

Donnington is a heavy metal institution... The download organisers should have more respect for that... and the fact that there are no other pure metal festivals in the north. People come from all over the world to experience HEAVY METAL in it's homeland... and they are greeted with... oh... KISS, A friggin PUNK band and a weak ass "metal" band headlining!!! WHAT THE F!!!! Motorhead on the bill... not headling... WITH THAT LINUP!!!! It's a friggin disgrace to metal.

i love metallica and their metal. they should play. but lp??? i love lp and their one of my favorite bands but they aint metal. their good music. when i think of real metal and good metal i think of metallica slayer exodus megadeth death angel exc. heavy metal-disturbed mushroom head mudvein, slipknot, syod, exc.... emo- hell i cant name jack here cause it just sucks besides underoath and w/e screamin wrist cuttin people are out there

Thanks for the positive reply. I suppose from my comment you could have thought I was a metal purist, but I really am not. I listen to all sorts of stuff (dnb, hip-hop, 70s/80s Rock, even then odd linking park track)

The thing is, when it comes to LIVE music... it has to be fast, well played, intelligent and damn heavy for me to wanna pay my hard earned cash for it, and LP/Offspring/Kiss just ISN'T gonna cut it.

I'd slash my wrists over it but then I'd prolly start 2 enjoy this years lineup ;)

no megadeth played on the friday 3rd from headlining, the headlining act being feeder of that night. the second night it was black sabbath and the third it was soad of course. but megadeth arent so good live. plus there a little old for the audience at download. system of a down is more the type of band all of the people at download would be into at the time specially with them having released a number 1 album in US and number 2 in the UK.

AWESOME, man! It wavers a bit, but you can obviously expect that from a live concert in such a big crowd. Like the first guy said, it's great sound quality, and a wonderful arragement of the best SOAD songs.
