One thing is over all...Speedo acuracy...Who the fuck knows if his shit is even right to begin with...a gear change wil throw it way off...or a tranny swap...you want to talk shit about speed...use a GPS and video the screen if the GPS...Speedos wrapping around are more than likely way out of calibration range to just add MPH to the other side..LOL

i agree... im not sure if its right to a GPS in this vid... but its the exact same to 3 other cars ive paced it with... and i agree there is def a more accurate way then just adding to the other side... any vid i put up now will be about 10 - 15 kmh off kuz i have the 3.73 in now and havent changed the speedo gear :)

stock 350 truck engines r made slow by the factory. aftermarket intake heads and cam and its a completely different truck, lol

I have a 90 gmc with the same gauge set up just in mph and it only goes up to 85. I do know that the gauge will keeping going around until the very beginning of the gray. Not the orange end of it but when you tack out at 140 it will keep turning.

ya the shift kit was pretty wild untill i put the stall converter in it then it softened the shifts majorly.. ya i dont have any dashlights i want to make something that shines red leds down on the cluster... i have aftermarket guages so i dont really care if the stock ones work :D

thanks man there was a little bit more to list but i didnt have room i have a 3.73 posi rear end to put in it and i have a proform carb body on it that elimenates the choke towers for better flow.its funny u say that.. because i want more power but the truck is an 88 so its border line E test year so right now it will just pass with some carb adjustments but if i get a 454 supercharged in it i dont think it will pass

the red part of the guage was just past 140 kph, 140 kph is a little less than 90 mph. you were doing between 90 to 95.

what are u talking about u dumb cunt, the speedo works on a half circle that spins around so when its doing 140kph because thats what the speedo is in.. the half circle is even with the other side... if u do 145 it will show 5km on the other side ... i had it to 20 kph on the other side therefore i was doing 160 kph.. which is near 100 mph .. when i had it at 60 on the otherside i would have been doing 200kph... if u look at Another view of 40- 140 thats how far i was going on this speedo shot

Wow dude, that's nice and fast but back when I was a kid, my dad had this '76 Datsun longbed (like i t made a difference for traction, lol!) and he cut out some firewall and fabbed up some motor mounts to drop in a Pontiac 400 HO. I'll tell you what, that truck was just so ridiculous. If it ever hooked up, I wouldn't be surprised if it ran a 7.5 to 8 flat.

Trust me, i own one myself. This dash is in the metric scale. U can tell this because if u look at you're grandpas his mph on the outside of the speedometer will only read 2 85. this truck may have been manufactured 4 canada, that's where the ones i've worked on like this came from.
