  • @Iykim929 what does that have to do with what I'm talking about? Are you asking me a question? Or giving me a personal opinion on something off the subject of what I was talking about?

  • @Idasputum not to be a wise ass but iv been asking everyday, for a long time, and no doubt there are good things happening to me all the time, but does that necessarily mean jesus is blessing me... Let me ask you something do you find it awkward that I believe in god but Find having faith in jesus is dillusional?

  • family better than friends ? ... I would not need friends if that was true.

  • lmao you talk about church? but you disagree with religion? so even if you make a church out of no religion. that is still a religion lol. A group with a common belief . hating religion is a bold statement

  • I hope nobody's arguing on here because just in this video he said we're supposed to be family

  • Huge painfull anoying mess. Well, no thanks, I think I'll pass.

  • Wow. I really should remember all this the next time I go to church.

  • And I never said I didn't believe in god, its more the religion I have a hard time believing, for example if you where from iraq would you still believe in jesus christ? I don't think so.

  • @jordan81197 Just because you were born in a certain location doesn't change the fact of the matter. If I was born in a country that made me think women were inferior, that doesn't make women inferior. I might believe in human rights only because of where I was born, but that doesn't make me wrong to believe in human rights.

  • @jordan81197 Anyone who asks to know God, meets Jesus whether they were expecting to or not, whatever language they speak. ASK

  • @Ianisgreat10 what are you talking about?

  • My grandfather put in all the plumbing at his church and asked for nothing. This is how he could serve his church. He always treated everyone there as they were part of his family.

  • As a church family its your job out as a family and save those who are lost hes just talking about investing in god and his people

  • @BottleKapat He can't talk about everything in a youtube video. Here he talked about people feeling no connections to church (christians). If we do not care for each other, how could we care for non-christians. Also if we do not help each other, we will fall (not all, but many) and then there is fewer left talking about Jesus for the lost. You get it?

    //bless

  • He seems to be talking about the people in a building...calling them the church. The real 'Church' are followers of Christ. There are so many unsaved within all these church buildings....even the pastors can be unsaved and false. There are people who don't attend church who are membersof God's church. The real Church....spokenabout in the Bible is scattered all over the world. The are so many who don't miss a service who are lost.

  • It is upsetting to see how religion subverts the strong familial bonds we humans crave and develop - this "cuckoo-like meme" inveigles its way into our lives and often replaces REAL family in the process.

  • @attackc0de why is it good to have a blind faith? Have you seen god or know for a fact he is real?

  • @attackc0de well I appriciate it... can you tell me my gods plan is to seperate me from my family I haven't seen my mom in almost 10 years and I never had a dad I when I try to be his friend he uses me as a stepping stool to make himself look good by puting his own son down that he doesn't even know?

  • @Botya1029 because athiest actually do there research and are searching for proof alot of athiest people have read the bible and proven many of times out doesn't make sense and very irrational.

  • @jordan81197 God bless you Jordan. I hope God sees how much you are struggling, notices that you picked a video that talks about family, and helps you with your need for it. I'll pray for you daily.

  • @jordan81197 And this means that Christians don't?

  • I truly don't understand why atheists feel the need to use their time watching things they strongly oppose so that they can get on here and spew their intolerant views. If you don't believe in God, so be it. We can believe what we want as well......I don't go onto atheistic websites just so I can get upset and curse at the people of that belief system....

  • Church is an air conditioned concrete, plastic and glass building that has a parking lot that covers the open, natural, beauty of the earth that "god" created. The native americans were right and our christian forefathers were wrong. Had we really listened to the wisdom of the native americans we wouldn't be in the mess were in now.

  • Does this sermon tell you any thing about Jesus, This is why christians are having prblems with the church, how can i Glorify God if you don't tell Me about Him(Since most people don't read their bibles).

  • @ghostman184 this is just a clip. you can click on the link in the description to watch the whole sermon

  • @dionysius09

wow most people come on here and argue about why they're right. and someone else is wrong... and you come here and make a confession and bear your soul. You awesome child of God! Your post warms my heart! How are you doing with this? You posted this comment a year ago.....

  • Shabaa Dalllla nuwakkka nuewwwalll nekallll - Transalation: Mark Driscoll is a Douche

  • jesus in a dinosaur bar...& they will pay attention

  • LOL, God HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

  • Any one know if theres a mars hill in the uk?

  • @CaptianHerbalist There can be. Find out about how to start a Community Group and start one. Or start asking around your area if they've heard of Mars Hill, and whether or not there's one nearby.

  • InvalidAuthorization: to me, if you feel like there is an "angel of the house" at all then maybe you could speak with somebody about it and pray but also if it's a big "angel" then maybe you should move to a church where you are more comfortable but more impor

  • @dionysius09 This is the place to start!

  • If "churches" weren't run like businesses, people might not treat them like businesses. One of the big problems is that institutional churches are run like secular corporations. People serve hoping to be part of the family but find its a business. They join a "home group" but find its a miniature institution where they are still spectators.

  • @creation4health hey i'm not tryin' to say this like i'm above you or anything but here's what God says......revelations that you have (like the one you just shared) are your responsibility since the moment u have em. if you come to realize something then it's officially your job from God to do something about it. again i'm not tryin' to hammer at you but if you see that that's a problem w/ feelin like a family then maybe start your own or talk to people leading it so it's not like that anymore

  • @TheRockMoreChannel I agree - I want to be part of what God is doing. He is building His church through the Holy Spirit, and I want to be a vessel, a living stone. I think there is a place for sharing revelation as well as living it out. Thanks for the encouragement. Blessings!

  • @truehistorii sure thing dude :) keep it fresh bro jesus was the freshist dude ever haha. be creative and relevant and remember that God created you to be original. your mission is to reach people and people are more attracted to that. stay with it and get yo Gospel Grind on lol :)

  • from my past experience, I will never join another church. I can and DO serve God, but not for the benefit of some stupid building and some self-anointed man or woman who claims to be "an angel of the house"

  • "his people" ARE the problem. I was in a big mega church for several years. I served from DAY ONE. Day One that I joined, I sought out a ministry to join and to serve. I was on multiple ministries, I was at the church during the week, there on Saturdays, there on Sundays for hours, I gave my tithes, I gave my 1st fruit offerings, Pastoral anniversary offering, pastor's love offering, pastor christmas love offering, etc. But that church became a sham, a den of thieves, liars, charlatans.

  • I'm really tired for chrisitans saying the Christ has the answer - but we are all human and have problems. So what is it - does Jesus have the answer or not?? If you can't show me a family that is truly different, that does make a difference, the is relevent - don't talk to me about Jesus and his church family.

  • listen and obey

  • i dig that shirt

  • "The Kingdom of God is not eating or drinking but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy spirit." We must also assume that God's design for his kingdom follows the Holy Spirit, not the local church involvement. If at odds. (Usually not but must have faith that i can be. Faith isn't prudence)

God's family is found instead filled with peace, righteousness, and joy in the Spirit instead of hierarchy or community. Men were made for community. Yet, don't consider it the same as God's kingdom.

  • The reason your church doesn't feel like a family is because it's a megachurch.

  • @elyseness

Dude think of Christs church. we all belong to God therefore we are all the church therefore we are all brothers and sisters and FAMILY in Christ. I would consider that a megachurch and it isnt because of the church being big that it doesnt feel like family. You have to get envolved to actually feel like family. If your not involved with your family then how is it even your family.

  • @elyseness The first church was a megachurch bro

  • @GuitarHero2790 No it wasn't. It was undermined by the Greeks and Jewish Christianity and the church of Jerusalem died off. Now all we have are varying degrees of this weird Greek Christianity all across the world with Roman/Syriac/American/etc. flavours.

  • @sfeltmate The church welcomes everyone, but cannot support people in their decision to reject the truth,

  • @wcr4 Theres a difference between rejecting the truth, and rejecting something that has not been displayed as truth.

  • This is just another excellent excuse for church people who don't get on with others in churches! It's a bit like, ''I don't need to get on/ along with that person that I dislike in church, but that's okay because it's family''.

  • @katako1 Well, it's suspending the belief that a church family must be easy.

  • @worldwideme1231 and also 1 John 2:3-4 says "We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands. The man who says, 'I know Him,' but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him." And James 2:17 also says "Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

  • @worldwideme1231 One of the last things Jesus says is "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-21. He says to Obey everything He commands us. If we truly love Him we will obey. "If you love me, you will obey what i command" - John 14:15. Once again, He says we love if we obey.

  • I hope this guy gets AIDS.

  • @hopefilleddream I must confess that I accidentally clicked on the thumbs up instead of the thumbs down for this comment, so please forgive me?

Further to this, why would anyone hope such a wicked thing upon another person unless they have hate towards them.

Hopefilleddream, do you need a family? The Body of Christ is a loving family that has problems that would take you in. Have a nice day and I and the rest of the Body of Christ hopes the best for you in health and strength and safety.

  • @hopefilleddream I hope you find Jesus and stop hating....

  • @murfreesboroshepherd You have your method I have mine which is supported by jesus!

  • Comment removed

  • christian comedy....... yeahhh nah.

  • jesus

  • how is this educational? oh, wait, its NOT!

  • "The difference between a restraunt and a familly is in a familly you do something" No, but as a result of it being a familly, you do something. You gotta get the equasion right.

  • pretty shirt

  • Yeah, that's why I stopped going to church, no family!

  • a great reminder!

  • Enjoying following the series on Luke.....thanks for modeling how to get your church connected to the "family"!

  • Amen Brother! Love it, preach on, preach on!

  • @bgnin really? how so?

  • @bgnin Sorry. What? How is encouraging people to love others as if they are family, brainwashing? It's not like Christianity is forced onto you. You do have a choice whether to accept God or not. That is not brainwashing, that is offering an alternative. You CAN back out anytime you want, my friend. No one's gunna hunt you down lol.

  • @bgnin dude, you are sooo going to hell where you'll burn for all eternity! You really need to convert to chrisianity in order to avoid hell! Nobody wants that! You NEED to OBEY!! I will pray for you that you find your way to the church!

  • uggg... Just realized I'm more of a waitress around this house! My MIL grew up with a Nanny taking care of her every need, serving her! Thus she raised my husband with that too, serving him. And now this to be served attitude is being passed onto my children. I'm thinking it is time for ME! to start making some changes around this house! FAMILY ... Here we go! :D Mama's got a new attitude!

  • Thank you for sharing this Jamie. {{{BIGHUGS}}} to all of you in my Church Family! And yes, some of yas do annoy me more than others, lol :)

Your bratty "little" sis Lisa :D

  • @soulpeaceinchrist It's kinda rude to say a brother or sister in christ annoy you! You really need an attitude check!

  • @99minerkc "you NEED to OBEY"? not really. Relationship with the Father And the Son, and connection to the spirit comes first. God wants our Love, not our Obedience. not saying we shouldn't Obey. but its not the first on the list. and if we love God, obedience typically happens as an act of love.

  • @worldwideme1231 You need to READ your bible! God demands your obedience if you are a follower of his! Even a song has words "TRUST AND 'OBEY' for there's NO OTHER WAY than to trust and obey! Get into the spirit or be damed to the pool of fire!

  • @99minerkc I've read my bible. and my bible paints the picture of a God who LOVES. and is in Relationship, or Covenant with his People. not a distant Deity, who demands obedience. last time i checked, trust and obey isnt scripture. i can quote songs too. "Jesus loves me this i know for the bible tells me so" . John 3:16.

and again, i'm not saying obedience is a bad thing. just that its not the first priority.

  • @worldwideme1231 Interesting! So, you missed the parts where your god advocates genocide, incest, murder of young children, rape, and slavery? Sounds like a sadistic form of love to me!

  • @99minerkc did you just call God sadistic?

  • @worldwideme1231 Yes, god is an evil sadistic PRICK(dick head if you prefer)! I would use swear words but I don't swear!

  • @99minerkc I'm praying for you......

  • @batya1029 That's fine if it makes you feel like you're doing something. What would be better though is to go to your local soup kitchen and "actually help" needy people.

  • @worldwideme1231 , I NEVER SAID obedience was the first priority! I did say you need to obey, and to say you don't is basically saying you're not a christian! I have never heard a christian say they didn't need to obey jesus commands, but hey, I like your style! maybe I convert so long as I don't need to obey, what do you think?

  • @99minerkc and I NEVER SAID we didn't have to obey! its more of a trust than an obedience i feel. i trust that God knows whats best for me, so i do what he says, and i try not to do what he says not to do. because He's a loving God who loves me and knows whats best for me. i dont obey rules i dont understand. i trust in a Loving Father who knows whats best for me.

  • @worldwideme1231 Here's a video that you should watch, it's by a former religious authority! However, if you have any doubts with your faith I urge you not to watch it: "Edward Tarte--Worship--Morally Inferior"

Just copy and paste into the you tube search bar.

  • @99minerkc Tarte is engaging in what CS Lewis called "Chronological Snobbery." It's that we, in all our mighty post-enlightenment brilliance should impose our worldview on the past & pass judgment. Tarte presumes his interpretation is correct (w/o justifying it) & considers no other interpretations (ignorance or dishonesty). I'm not saying I endorse rape or sexism, don't bother attacking that strawman. But he must have virtually no knowledge of the history of interpretation to make such claims.

  • @brhodes625 That's "your" opinion! I see that you have not backed any of your claims up with supporting evidence! :p

  • @99minerkc Brilliant. Why waste time on an actual response to sources cited & points made? The logical equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?" I wasnt didnt issue a challenge in the form a video reference, my friend. And I'm not the one making youtube videos subjecting a 2000+ yr old faith to the narrow implications of my present-day societal points of agreement w/o explanation. So the burden of proof is not on me, yet Ive put down a response. You however have refused to interact with it

  • @brhodes625 You accused Edward of and I quote, "Tarte presumes his interpretation is correct (w/o justifying it) & considers no other interpretations (ignorance or dishonesty)." It's YOUR CLAIM therefore the burden of proof is CLEARLY ON YOU!" I highly doubt you'll make the effort to prove your claims therefore your comments cannot be taken with anything other than a grain of salt! In other words, "your comments re Eward Tarte are a FAIL!

  • @99minerkc Just for your own help, you forgot to offer a non-response to the 1st and last points. We both know that a point-by-point rebuttal to a series of verses carelessly thrown up without explanation--in 500 characters--is impossible. So you tell me: Is it more likely that his undefended interpretations have, in 6 mins., obliterated a 2000+ yr old faith relying only on the societal dogmas of the last 60 yrs, or is it more likely he has not given voice to other possible interpretations?

  • @brhodes625 It's YOUR CLAIM therefore the burden of proof is CLEARLY ON YOU!"

  • @99minerkc LOL! Brilliant again! Yelling and offering no rebuttal other than to apply different rules to my argument than you are to your own, and not offering a single response to any point other than to invoke those convenient rules. I guess we're done here then.

  • I love the story of the guy in the grocery store! The way he imitates the guy is great! "Look, can I be fast? Because I'm lloking for cerial"

  • LOL! My church family feels too much like family: arguing, calling me out on things, trying to set me up, loving me and being irritated by me at the same time, inviting me over, hanging out, praying together, loving together.! But I wouldn't trade them for the world!

  • lol a huge painful annoying mess ...so true sometimes

  • change my mind - "where you serve feels like family" 6:40 - for me - I need to serve in my own family more, and Ligonier Camp is where I feel like family because that's where I've served. I want to serve more in my church. Gosh, I want FAMILY

  • Best line -> "it's a huge painful annoying mess .... that's the definition of a family!"

  • this is great!

  • My wife and I have actually arranged for a couple from our Church family to take care of our kids if something were to happen to both of us. The only believers in our biological families are too old to take care of young kids, and raising them Biblically is top priority. They think we're crazy, I'm sure... but oh well.

  • @clm12704 No comment!!

  • @clm12704 Brain washing them is your top priority? Yep, that's one way to keep the evils of religion around for decades and maybe even centuries to come, just brain wash the kids and they'll do the same to their kids and so it goes!

  • @99minerkc

  • @clm12704 I know, I constantly slap my face after talking with theists!! Somehow they have the market in frustrating free thinkers!

  • @99minerkc To claim to be a free thinker, you're sure pushing your ideas on Christians pretty hard and not wanting us to "freely think" how we want to. Everyone has an agenda, dude... even professing "free thinkers". Christians just openly admit ours. Hopefully you will see the irony in your statements and can begin to clearly think through the truth claims of Christianity.

  • @clm12704 you said, "clearly think through the truth claims of Christianity." ROFL! You're one to talk!

  • @clm12704 Where would one get this mode of close minded thinking? Hmm... from christianity!! So, forgive me if I come across as a close minded theist, I'm still trying to shake the way I thought as a christian for 31 yrs of my life! Old habits die hard!

  • @clm12704 you said that everyone has an agenda(I do agree with you there), "Christians just openly admit ours". No, maybe you do but most christians simply don't admit there's! The do often attribute an agenda a god's agenda! If you're meaning that as well then I would agree, otherwise I don't, sorry.
