I had a friend whose baby had died inside of her, and the doctors wanted to leave the baby inside of her. The baby is supposed to decompose and the nutrients return to the mother. Which is screwed up, she had it removed and that was 2009. Back in the day medical treatment wasn't exactly cheap, so you can understand her reasons for leaving the baby. I don't think it was a psychological issue, sadly enough money rules.
