É nessas horas que eu sindo orgulho de ser brasileiro!

Devemos ter orgulho do Shaman/Angra, pois são exceções de um país que só produz lixo sonoro. Hoje em dia, nada mais é original, tudo na música foi entragado. E é por isso que eu valorizo muito as bandas de antigamente.

O que eu não consigo compreender é que tem gente que gosta de funk (entre outros lixos).

Só tenho a lamentar. Mas uma coisa é certa, Brasil não vai pra frente sem bandas igual Shaman/Angra, com suas boas letras e boas melodias

It seems to me that all the side projects i'm bumping into after discovering angra, as just so darn awesome. Almah, Shaaman, Bittencourt Project, Kiko Loureiro's solo stuff.. i mean.. can brazilian power metal and its musicians involved in it or doing something else on the side, ever suck? They're making it hard for everyone else to keep up damn it.

I haven't bumped into a single bad brazilian power metal band yet. Makes me wanna move to brazil and start a band there.

But Brasil is not the only one, there're other great countries in this field, like Finland and Germany, the diference is Brasil is not in Europe, and the main diference is that brasilian bands are not as supported as the europe ones. I mean: Dark Passion Play by Nightwish sold over two millions in europe, while Rebirth by Angra, and Ritual by Shaman, haven't sold one million yet! It's a shame.

No, the real reason they changed is because at the time that they formed, there was already a band called "Shaman". The band we are listening too now changed their name to "Shaaman" to avoid legal issues. The first band called Shaman then changed their name to "Korpiklaani", and "Shaaman" changed back to only having one A. It's confusing, but basically they changed to avoid legal issues.

Truth is... everyone left but the drummer. Or everyone wanted to go on making music without the drummer (whatever the reason). But this drummer owns the rights for the name "Shaaman": couldn't go on with this name. Conclusion: now, in Andre Matos' solo career, are Shaman's guitarist and bassist + an old Angra guitarist (long long ago) + an unknown (but extremely gifted) drummer!
