so and as the defender reaches back to slam his hand over the attackers hand, the attacker simultaneously brings up his knee and just about when he slaps the defenders hand, the attackers knee contacts his rib cage. great. and on a side note, who would be standing side to side with the someone he wishes to attack, at an arms length and then try to "pull back" with his outstretched arm? if you want to pull, you step up close, stand behind him and pull him towards yourself, not like this...
I do love the videos but in all the tai chi apps I have found most feeders are lungey & grabby. I have been in several street fights in my youth and only once was there much pushing and grabbing and that was with an insane cousin. I would like to see tai chi apps applied to say a ghetto street fighter or boxer as I have found when randomly assaulted those were the most comon styles I and others I have spoken with incountered or the guy that tried to high school wrestle you into submition.
this is a good one. It shows that the important part is the principle (keeping them from being able to pull). After you have that, the technique can be applied to the situation and vary as needed.
