The LS6 needs a 6spd manual those autos are power robbers and the time wasted to downshift sucks in a roll. I think its could be faster than the 02 z28 if it wasn't auto.

what cam is in the 91? i would think he would rip the 02, i mean he does have ls6 heads on the ls6 engine and the 02 just has 241 ls1 heads right? not to mention the weight differance, i know my ls1 swapped third gen weighs around 3000, where a 4th gen weighs around 3500.

i had the thunder racing TRAK cam 232/234 113 LSA .649/.609 lift i believe.

You would think it would be a good match up, but with timing pulled out for the bottle, and being an auto i had a few fall backs for a freeway roll race. The way the car sat in those races it weighed about 3200. i trapped 118 in the 1/4 mile with slicks and skinnies and 115 without. I had it set for the bottle.

Also to add to that. Ole boys Z28 was an optionless hardtop freak. That coupled with good shifting and gears he had the highway advantage with the 6 speed. His shit was fast for sure. It ran door to door with other head cam Ls1's.

dude get rid of that intercooler on the evo what r u thinking anything without a garrett core get soooo heat soaked and will net about 20-40 degrees hotter then a true garrett core come on especially in florida intercooler is not a place to go cheap like everyone thinks

thats not what i meant when its on the street it gets heat soaked after a while killing the power on the street on the dyno still makes good power because its allowed to cool down if he went with a better intercooler it would help id say about 20whp on the street and keep the power that it made on the dyno

my cousin and i built up his 05/m6 gto and its pumping 530whp with 480wtq with just etp 225 heads and hellion cam. with fast 90 and 427 stroker no mild nos setup can touch us. granted its more cost efficient with nos ill give u that but we go the full yard,most people dont like to put effort into their rides these days

I know of a certain 02 SS around here that just got running again, it's a 427 with TFS 235's, big cam, Billet Bank Intake.......and an NX DIRECT PORT SETUP. Bragging about being fast n/a and never running a power adder is just pointless.

this is only in regards to car racing, obviosuly nos is usefull everywhere else but i hate seeing cars fronting like they actually got that amount of HP. when the bottle runs out ur left with shitty numbers. Build a nasty stroker with good heads and cams and ull be sitting pretty on NA numbers. im just saying donty think just cause u got nos means u can rep the numbers forever. Id rather take a car that produces consistant ass beating numbers than once and awhile

Ummm, you have seriously never been involved in a big build up with a car have you? N/A numbers are gonna be VERY limited in a street car and no matter what you can go faster with a bottle on top. Big nasty n/a setups arent reliable and streetability goes out the window quick. Mild car with nitrous that blows away that expensive built stroker that REFUSES to run nitrous FTW
