  • BTW, that is a nice knot, much smaller then what i use when i have cut my tapered back or snaped it off and dont have another, i use whats called a "double long nail knot" look it up,if ya cant find it lemme know i'll make a vid

  • a blood knot is prolly the sloppiest knot we use if you wanna eliminate that all together, get a tapered leader,i prefer orvis leaders but they can get stiff when its cold, after you see what i was talking about attatching your pre leader to your flyline make a video of it,and disregard what dood in the other vid was saying bout wrist and forearms, repost what i sent you in the message.

  • Don't get me wrong: I enjoy watching the TPO videos (THANKS!), but I don't see the advantage of this knot over a blood knot. I suppose if someone just wasn't good with knots, has arthritis, or it's damned cold outside, this knot might offer something over the blood knot, but I'd use a double surgeon first...unless you have a hook tied to your tippet, and don't want to remove it.

  • So excited about this new knot. Do you use this not for tying pieces of tippet to your leader or can you also use this know to tie your leader to your fly line?

I've been looking for an easier knot for when I tie my leader to my fly line.

Thank you so much for this video.

  • Great little tip on hooking line together. I will have to ask him why he didn't show me that knott. ;)

  • thanx man that helped me catch some very nice fish thanks!
