@Savci008 It is revealed in F2 that the overseer was either banished from the vault after your exile or killed. Because he dies either way, I kinda think that the VD shot him in canon
I managed to kill overseer aswell, about 10 years ago. :) Me and my friend agreed that he's a bastard so kept tapping A (attack) after he finished his speech. We were pretty suprised when the attack mode has turned on. Then we laugh seeing him crawling while badly wounded and dying. Becoming outcast wasn't so painful after that. Now after 10 years I still think that he deserved to be killed. :)
Also I recently beat this game for the first time in over a decade, I found it in my closet behind my dresser. I went totally evil and had the bloody mess perk. Honestly after playing every fallout game so far besides 2 this one still looks good for it's age. I just ordered Fallout 2 off of Ebay and can't wait till I get it, I heard it was even better than the first.

@chris12783 you can get it from the gun runners in junktown, also it is a very common drop at the mariposa military base west of vault 13 but I don't suggest going there unless you are at least level 12 or so with brotherhood combat armor and a .22 pistol or plasma pistol with power armor. I had the alien blaster weapon "from a random encounter" and could literally 1-shot mutants with 150% on energy weapons, with 200% nothing could handle me.
And by the way: wcdornez, and EggManRaid, shut your trap, let people use this place as commenting on the video, not fighting out a battle about something like a damn game series!

I have tried to enjoy Fallout 1(big FO3 fan), but it just hasn't gripped me.. although I have only gotten to shady Sands(very early still), so maybe it will get better, also Orent, I am with you bring on New Vegas... hell I have a New Vegas Background on my lappy atm

@TPepeProductions According to wikia, it can happen if you've got low karma, Berserker title or bloody mess. Also if you press A and go combat, you can do that.
BTW I agree with you about classics. I've played the fallout series trough, except that horrifying thing called "Fallout:Bos". Interplay's policy has been rotten ever since Herve caen took the helm. I can't believe they tried to pull a fraud with Bioware and Parallax.

Old play trough guide told that "If you get level 21 after game has ended, your chat with the overseer ends up to have a little bloody surprise!". I had Bloody mess, good karma and I gained the level.(Accidentaly, I played with a diplomat character).
The overseer in Fallout 1 isn't nearly as much of a douche as either of the overseers in Fallout 3, and they don't even get the same kind of treatment!

@Equilibr1st There is no way to indicate where to go. But you do have maps and quest indications in your pipboy. By matching these two tools you should be able to find where your next objective is.

@hutley405 I preferred Fallout 2 over Fallout 1 because it has a richer gameplay (more AI control of companion NPCs, and some other little things like that which make the game better overall). I've played them both though and would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE.
Its much harder to play than fallout 3, you need to know how/when to use skills and such, but its so very much worth it. One of the best games of all time.
If you have bloody mess but have good karma do you still kill him? I would feel like piss because he's really only trying to help.

I have tried to enjoy Fallout 1(big FO3 fan), but it just hasn't gripped me.. although I have only gotten to shady Sands(very early still), so maybe it will get better, also Orent, I am with you bring on New Vegas... hell I have a New Vegas Background on my lappy atm

well when i beat the game my guy automaticly took out his pistol after the talk and shot the overseer and the same thing happened he crawled to the vault and died but i also got a cut sceane with u walking away

This has probably been said before, but overseer is also killed "Automatically."
That happens if you have enough bad karma, or get your last level after blowing up the cathedral or with bloody mess-perk.
Vault dweller draws pistol out of somewhere and that same unique animation happens.

@TPepeProductions According to wikia, it can happen if you've got low karma, Berserker title or bloody mess. Also if you press A and go combat, you can do that.
BTW I agree with you about classics. I've played the fallout series trough, except that horrifying thing called "Fallout:Bos". Interplay's policy has been rotten ever since Herve caen took the helm. I can't believe they tried to pull a fraud with Bioware and Parallax.

Old play trough guide told that "If you get level 21 after game has ended, your chat with the overseer ends up to have a little bloody surprise!". I had Bloody mess, good karma and I gained the level.(Accidentaly, I played with a diplomat character).

well in teh older fallouts you can take your time with battles..also a good tip,dont select the one hander perks,you will loose the "Vats" ability.

@Equilibr1st There is no way to indicate where to go. But you do have maps and quest indications in your pipboy. By matching these two tools you should be able to find where your next objective is.

@hutley405 I preferred Fallout 2 over Fallout 1 because it has a richer gameplay (more AI control of companion NPCs, and some other little things like that which make the game better overall). I've played them both though and would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE.
