He wanted to be apart of it and re-created the movie, using the same actors and premise, Spielberg specificlally changed the ending, and therefore having 2 movies released internet wise and commercially.

The demon possessed her 4 different times in the movie, when she was in the back yard, then when he was trying to get her to leave in the car, then when she kills him. oh yh n that one time it just stared at micah then got back in bed lol

I agree that this movie was awesome. See, horror films really don't need to rely on heavy gore or shock tactics; what they need are atmosphere, realism, and the imagination of the audience, and that's what Paranormal Activity has.
I've been waiting for years for a movie like this to come out, in the same light of the 1963 version of "The Haunting", utilizing the lost art of omission. What the audience does not see or hear is a hell of a lot more frightening than what they do.

I think to many people equate gore and jumps with scares. This is more psychological in the way it makes you afriad so people over exposed to gore and constant noise and action prob wont get it.
I dont necessarily think the film was psychological, but the scares are more from what the film makes you think and imagine in your head rather than visual blood and guts gore like alot of films. Basically the film plays on your imagination rather than spoon feeding the scares.
Well, I wouldn't consider gore to be part of a scary film. I would say they are horrific in a matter that they astonish the viewer with a disgusting appearance but nothing more. To me this movie was more like a cheap rip-off of the Blair-Witch Project. No reality is expressed in this film; whereas the BWP is based on truth.
I didnt think the BWP is based on truth? Yea was a copy of the BWP formula but then most films copy off something else. BWP was a rip-off of The Last Broadcast and Ghostwatch.

to me its the was the way you went into the movie that made it scary or not if you go in saying its just a movie you wont develop a relationship to the characters and it just wont be scary but if you go in and tell yourself your about to have a good time and get scared its really makes it that much better

well the thing about it (in my opinion) i think the movie affects you mentally i went 2 c it with my friend mary and she never gets scared (i'm talking about a girl who laughed at one missed call and grudge) anyways but during the movie she got scared really bad she couldnt sleep 4 a week and during the middle of the week she went a bit crazy because of the movie so she went to the hospital after that O_o (i was scared out of my mind)

The first time the movie came out was in 2007 and blahh blahh blahh got a cult following due to film festivals and was later seen by Spielberg. He wanted to be apart of it and re-created the movie, using the same actors and premise, Spielberg specificlally changed the ending, and therefore having 2 movies released internet wise and commercially.

I watched this yesterday in the day and whilst I thought it was creepy it didn't really scare me.
Quite ironically, given all the scary stuff happens at night, I was terrified when I went to bed last night, half expecting to be dragged out of bed and down the hallway LOL

I agree that this movie was awesome. See, horror films really don't need to rely on heavy gore or shock tactics; what they need are atmosphere, realism, and the imagination of the audience, and that's what Paranormal Activity has.
I've been waiting for years for a movie like this to come out, in the same light of the 1963 version of "The Haunting", utilizing the lost art of omission. What the audience does not see or hear is a hell of a lot more frightening than what they do.

I dont necessarily think the film was psychological, but the scares are more from what the film makes you think and imagine in your head rather than visual blood and guts gore like alot of films. Basically the film plays on your imagination rather than spoon feeding the scares.

Well, I wouldn't consider gore to be part of a scary film. I would say they are horrific in a matter that they astonish the viewer with a disgusting appearance but nothing more. To me this movie was more like a cheap rip-off of the Blair-Witch Project. No reality is expressed in this film; whereas the BWP is based on truth.
