  • haha. You must watching "horon"

    watch this /watch?v=Q9pqCMdd-H4

  • Romanian! Calusul !

  • wow! cum de se ridica in secunda urmatoare dupa ce s-au pus in genunchi? se petrece asa de repede ! sunt super fit baietii

  • I ADORE U, R o M a N i A!!! my beautiful country!!!

  • Bravo!!!!!

  • Great! It is unbelievable what those men can do. Great choreography and the story is really fun and nice. The music is beautiful also. Nice costumes, too.

  • It really doesn't matter if this is the fastest folk dance in the world. Irish hard-shoe is pretty quick as are many Greek dances as well. The Russian and Ukrainian dances are really fast and many Native American dances are very fast. Regardless of the speed of the dance, if a particular folk dance tells a story (which most do), the story is the beauty. This video tells a story, beautifully.

  • @flyingscot4

the beauty is the feeling you have when you play(not dance) a "Hora" like Calusul and others.

If you wan't to see others romanian "Hora", some more fastest(for romanian speakers in loc de fastest cititi iuti) than Calusul do this search on youtube: hora harsesti. Those people not playing for show.

  • HORON is much FASTER xD

  • @IdelUralState You must be kidding, right? I can dance HORON just looking your people doing. Can you move your feet like those people dancing CALUSUL? I can't also. It is really hard to do it.

  • @axl41 Ouuuh, when you are arguing like THIS, than just watch Caucasian LEZGINKA. MUCH MUCH MUCH MUUUUUCH HARDER to dance xD can you really beat this with your CALUSUL ;)

    add this link...

    /watch?v=1BkLbkf3u_A

    or search for...

    "Lezginka Festival"

Watch the first video on top and you will surely change your mind rapidly :)

  • @IdelUralState watch this

    this is the original "CALUSUL"

/watch?v=VM7lTvNWH8o&feature=related or try this (Calusul, possibly the fastest folk dance in the world!)

your lezginka cant compare with this ;) :p

  • @xfact9r Ok then watch this:

    /watch?v=99XBksgt90Q

    Thats even faster ;)

  • @IdelUralState no, is not :)

    its very slow !

  • @IdelUralState be sure you check this /watch?v=VM7lTvNWH8o&feature=related faster than both and is the same song :)

  • @IdelUralState OMG! That's not a dance. It is a circus. I think no ordinary people could do something like that. Calusul is danced by villagers in their Romania villages. They are not professionals and they just do this for fun. Lezginka is more like a sport. I think you have to be a gymnast or a ballet professional to do that crazy figures.

  • @axl41 See the Russian or Ukrainian dances and you'll see much more need to be [roffessionist ballet dancers, not simple peasants.

  • @axl41 HAHAHA you are really funny!!! Man i smell jealousy :)

watch "The World's Fastest Dance" and become more jelously xD that even faster than Horon ;P

  • Galway, that is the other side of Europe- always proud, so proud to be from Basarabia!

  • proud of being romanian ! :X

  • This is slow comparing with the "Calusarii" from 1950-1980

  • Lovely dance and music. :-)

Totusi cand postati anumite comentarii eu va sfatuiesc sa va mai informati ! E foarte subiectiv titlul : zilele trecute am descoperit apropo de dansuri - daca vreti sa vedeti si altceva intr-adevar deosebit , incercati dansurile caucaziene - georgiene sau azere ! O sa-mi multumiti daca nu le-ati vazut pana acum !

  • Others say that is 2000 years old, anyway is very old and surrounded by mistery.

Ours grandparents say that is a healing dance.

  • ROMANIAAAAA :D veery good :D

  • Great song, great interpretation. Ca me fait pleurer l'âme. Tnx guys for this video, makes me miss Romania a tiny bit less now.

  • look at the horon

  • There are way faster dances than this I can tell you...I have danced for may years, all International dances, and did a lot of Balkan dances in my time .It seems a lot because the men are jumping a lot and the music sounds very fast. In balkan countries men tend to show off while dancing.

  • Pure history !! Hai Romania !

    Greetings from tokyo !

  • there is no other dance like CALUSUL

  • asta e comoara noastra ,this is our treasure

  • caluşarii...isn't just a dance is a tradition.....

  • cine mai joaca asa ceva in asta lume?

  • @dragosmoonwalk o seama de ROMANI MAI JOACA ASA CEVA

  • sincronizare de exceptie....bravo baieti

  • @andyfreeze1 Shut the fuck up you idiot!!! u have no idea about this dance and Romanian traditions and you wake up talking like a dork!!

    Hai Romania!

  • @andyfreeze1 Shut the fuck up you fucking idiot!! u have no idea what is this about!!

  • @andyfreeze1: "Unde nu este cap vai de picioare"

  • @andyfreeze1 fuck you boy ,go to fuck your mother

  • cardio, sincronizare, bravo fratilor

  • Greetings from UK!!! Keep it up!

  • Fast? Turkish horon is much faster!

  • @86BOZKURT86 Horon can't even by far compare to this...judging by rhythm from tje beginning to the very end.

  • @agnesnicolescu

    ok its your opinion

  • retard

  • Sure u can do better than these retards, ai? I can count 1 big retard. Worth more than 12... can u count that far? :)))) Try again...

  • WOW°WOW°WOW.First time I saw Calusari dancing and was absolutely mesmerized.Amazing!BRAVO!Superb!

  • RomaniaTricolor,

are you for real mate? Where do you get your information from and how is it relevant? Care to explain?

  • maybe....but i like it...

  • Apperanntly they are who they say they are

  • andyfreeze1 maybe this dance is not interesting or even entertaining.. but is a very old and mistical dance .

  • you are stupid. Not this dance or dancing man. Iar pe limba romana, DU-TE DRACULUI DE FRAIER!

  • how many religious dances have you seen which are not stupid?

  • how many lightspits have you seen that are not stupid?

  • really funny comment coming from somebody named dilibau: you HAVE to do something stupid to go to make the army at diribau.,

  • @andyfreeze1 just fuck and kill your family.

  • 1000 years old dance? Rubbish! Is originated in the civil war between the romanian regions Oltenia(Craiova-Pelendava/Kaurava-Pandava from the river Rabon/Ravana) and Moldova(Aiud-Sascut/Ayodia-Saketa from rivers Trotuş/Dashrata and Siret/Sarayu)! CăLuŞaRi=KuRuKSHeTRa!!!

Yes, "hindu" myths...real stories about the Black Sea salt water Flood followed by the Pannonian Danube fresh water Lake flood from around 5500 BC! 7500 years old story. Starcevo-Koros-Cris culture from Carpathian Mountains.

  • Because the Black Sea was flooded by Mediterana, which was followed by increasing rains in the region/Pannonian Lake flooding Oltenia region thru Danube Gorge, the ruling dinasty of Basarab(Barata in hindu myths) was involved into a series of civil wars. Mahabharata and Ramayana are the hindu versions of those stories that are originated mainly in SW Romania, in the regions Oltenia, Hatzeg, Banat, Crisana, Moldova...

  • civil war? between Oltenia and Moldavia? i don't see you're point? Mediterranean flooding the Black sea? What is the connection between the flood and the dance? Do you want to say that a natural hazard influenced our ancestors in art? Or the war? I'm sorry but I'm not understanding. Maybe you can answer in Romanian?

  • @RomaniaTricolor: Corect.

  • this is not just a dance !

  • what do you mean you ,,clocked" the dance?

  • I clocked this dance @ 284!!! The Turkish Horon appears to be somewhere between 218 and 222.

  • The turkish Horon and Calusari are related, the fast movement/change to the right and left is in fact the movement of the "CAL"-"HORSE". There is an ancient etnical connection between the pelasgo-thracian tribes "GeTZII"(wolfes) from Romania and "HiTITZii"(wolfes) from Turkey.

  • It's not the fastest, but it's among the longest ones. The original play starts in the morning and ends late in the evening. Dancers and the musical band had to be in shape to whitstand.

  • fastest ? I dont think so... watch ths :)

    /watch?v=Q9pqCMdd-H4

  • True, that's why the creators of The X Files made an episode based on them called " The Calusari"!

    Salutari din Anglia!

  • I think they are even better the Riverdancer... without the light and stuff...

  • Is that fastest dance in the world? I don't think so...

    It's loud but not fast!

  • I sugest u try it! or any profesional dancer in the world then please let me know! ok??

  • loud?? :)))))))) and not fast?? try doing that just for 2 minutes... if you still have your lungs functionable, you're the man!!!!! :))

  • @Papuas81: Who the hell cares which is the faster?

I have few question: can others dances to heal people, to protect of evil spirits, etc.?

Exist in entire world a dance more mystic and more hermetic?

  • nu sunt formatiile care dansau calusarii in anii 70-80 - alea erau de 3 ori mai rapide si mai complicate. astia sunt mamaligi in comparatie

  • he said from europe

  • You think this because you are not romanian.this dance is more than 2000

years old, directly from dacians. Who cares which one is faster?

  • @varain2

    LOL,200 years old....too funny.Dacians are 2000 years old???,holy shit,you have no idea of history!

  • @MissMYNONA yes,of course,dacians are more than 2000years old! Good morning!

  • @varain2

    Holy shit...a little brainwashed????*LOL

  • This isn't a good example...

    Check out this:

    watch?v=wo8zPYtcE8U

  • Calusul is more than 2000 years old!!!! It comes directly from our ancestors, the Daco-Getae!!!!! It was originary a mystical and ritual dance....

  • i didnot know that even though i'm roumanian too...always thought it is smthing magic in this!thank you...My grandparents come from oltenia...

  • ok ive seen romanians turks and greeks all say they got the fastest dance in the world and they are all slow am i missing something? half the time in this video they are moving really slow the music is fast all the time tho

or wont they count anything made in this century

  • this is the fast dans of the world: /watch?v=Q9pqCMdd-H4

    Horon: Turkey

  • That's a difrent stile of dance , but horon looks good to ,i don't know witch one is faster !!

  • try to dance it first..and then say your oppinion

  • you have to put your glasses

  • first cradle of civilization :))) and the greeks? frate, nu zic, sa fim patrioti, ce-i al nostru-i pus de-o parte, dar sa nu exageram.

  • this ist river dancing or any other folk dancing this is romanian calusarii in english the horsemen

  • Spare us with ur turkish sultans or whatever. This here is TRADITION and CULTURE not some entertaining show.!

  • That's why we don't speak Turkish or Russian now! But we will speak soon English as a world language; till then, we are already bullshit Europeans. Gay warts appeared here too. Ironically, we are the oldest Europeans, in the Balkans, first cradle of civilisation...

  • Good job ! Nice music and dance ! Thanx!

  • mandriti*va!nimeni din jurul nostru nu are identitate!

  • This dance is thousands of years old, it comes directly from our Dacians...

  • VIVAT ROMANIAE!!!

  • I HATE RIVER DANCING!!!!!!!!!XD

  • SUPERB!!!!!!

    SUUPPEERB!!!!!

  • foarte frumos

  • lindy hop it's faster

  • sure, lindy hop looks to be faster, but it takes between 17 and 25 seconds, and not 5-6-7 minutes...and it is not a thousands years old dance, being much-much-much younger is possible to be a bit faster...:)))

  • dude it's a huge diference. calusul it's something else. what are you seeing are moldavinas from basarabia. this dance it's from south romania. only the olteni can dance perfectly,it's in ouer blood and ouer feet. this is ballet not calusul. and trust me it's faster in reality. i want to see a profesionist american dacer that's able to dance this perfectly. a 7 years old guy(but oltenian) can impress the best director or coregraph

  • Calusul is much older, the ancient Greeks wrote about these Thracian dance.

  • fantastic

  • paaagh
