It is a POS. DO NOT BUY IT. Lasted 2 days until I dropped it from barely a feet onto hardwood floor. The case cracked at the different corners. Wasted my $25 on this shit.
I would love this thin case! BUT $26? You'd think it would be cheaper than other case cause it's thin! I think it's that price because of the package! It's so thick! lol
Will this work on the white iphone 4s. Picking up my phone about next week and really love the case. Want to get one in red myself. But besides pinlo. Is there any in-store pinlo slice 3 case available?
The case is pretty cool! My mom bought one from Hong Kong and brought them to the US, only cost $6.41/each. I'm going to try and get my folks to get some more for the new iphone 4s.
I just ordered this, as a designer I am worried about the fact that it has no raised edge on the front for coverage, but as the reviewer said it's not designed for absorbing the impact of a fall... but nonetheless wish the .035mm material wrapped around to the front just a bit. That having been said we'll see how I feel when I get it in a week or so.
...quickly aging technology please go and purchase a nice thick and heavy case for yourselves. This way when you finally save up enough money to buy an iPhone 5 which is right around the corner, you will have perfectly preserved piece hardware to sell on eBay. People need to really start enjoying their electronics, not just protecting it for doomsday with thick "heavy" protection cases leaving your phone looking nothing like the clean beautifully designed device it was originally designed 2b.
Just bought this case for the Verizon white iPhone 4 and I love it. I was looking for thin and the Pinlo case is just about as good as it gets. No it does not have drop protection, I can't do construction, build a house, throw it fifty yards in a game of iPhone football, but that is THE POINT! Some iPhone 4 owners want a minimalistic case. Thin clean lines, made by a company whose design aesthetic mirrors that of Apple. For all of you owners who want a giant piece of rubber protecting your...
@iTechnoWiz Sorry you feel that way, I actually do like the case (one of my favorites) because it is so thin. Pricing is not really an issue as there are a ton of other shields/cases out there that are pricier and offer very similar protection. Thanks for the comment anyways!
@Jk981206 Totally understand where you are coming from but someone people just like having a thin case to protect from scratches and not so much falls. Thanks for the comment by the way!
@Jk981206 Cool, yea mainly this case is for scratch protection and preventing the dreaded "death grip." Do not expect this case to save your phone though if you dropped it ;).
@MrDavidBynum That is really hard no case that I know of is that thin and provides a lip, your best bet might be the Incase Snap Case. Hope this helps!
@TekBeatTV-It helps a lot. I was leaning towards the Pinlo Slice as well. I emailed them about a VZW compatible Slice 3 and they said it should be out at the beginning of Feb. So hopefully they release it in time for the Verizon iPhone. Just out of curiosity, what's your second pick out of the Incipio Feather and Incase Snap Case?
@LeroyTheGreat38 Sweet deal with the Verizon iPhone compatibility and Pinlo. Hmmm with regards to my second choice, that is really tough but I would say the Incase Snap Case. Hope this helps!
@TekBeatTV Do you think this case will be ok with the Zagg IS on the front & back? I plan on letting the IS totally settle for a couple of days before actually putting the case on, do you think that is ok to do? I am just scared the case will scratch the back of my phone without the IS on the back, otherwise I would just use it on the front.
@ricanlos88 This case will allow for a front zagg but as for the back and sides, it will not as it will cause fit issues. I would not worry about the case scratching your phone, you should be fine there. I would advise just getting a front screenshield. Hope this helps!
I love thin cases as well. I used to LOVE the Switcheasy nude for the iPhone 3G/3GS. I got a Nude for my iPhone 4 but didn't like it so much... due to the fact that the iPhone 4 has a flat back the case scratches A LOT. I don't usually mind scratches on a case, but since the Nude is "glossy", it looks horrible after a while, plus I once let my Nude fall on my table, from a about half a foot of height and it cracked, really easily.
@fabioadias Currently using a Vulcan, but I might give my Nude another try. Or I might get one of these Pinlo ones. Looks cool. Thanks a lot for the review :)
@fabioadias And btw, since this is SOOOO thin, I think this would probably break VERY VERY easily. I don't think it's supposed to resist falls, but it looks like it might brake just by handling the case.
@fabioadias Hey, honestly after using the Slice 3 I have to say that it is more durable than it looks :). It will not snap or break just by handling no worries there ;). Vulcan is also a good one to use, but the NUDE on the other hand I was not a huge fan of due to the scratches and quality. Hope this helps and thanks for the support, I really do appreciate it :).
@TekBeatTV I absolutely understand what you mean about the Nude. And this Pinlo case actually looks a lot more durable and resistant than the Nude! The fact that it's more flexible makes a whole lot of difference. Sometimes when I remove my Nude I feel like I might crack it, which doesn't seem to be a problem with this one. Keep up the awesome work, Will. I'm already subscribed and will be checking out the following videos for sure. Just so you know, I'm a viewer all the way from Brazil. Cheers!
@JeffreyAu2 I know where you are coming from but some people do not like having to use the shield especially for the sides as they usually do not align perfectly (covering all the chrome). Thanks for the comment!
@cludRobot It's me doing all the videos but I am also a company that I started TekBeat TV (technology news and reviews). Hope that clears things up! :)
Nice video! Was wondering if you could help me I'm looking for a good quality front and back screen protectors for the iPhone 4 currently using sgp crystal clear really happy with that but don't think they sell back pieces. Looking for something that's dry apply and keeps the clarity of the iPhone 4's screen. Secondly a case which dosent add much bulk which protects the whole of the iphone and leaves no gaps would like a slim case as possible. Hope you can give me some ideas. Keep the great vid
@adamsbil1 Thanks for the kind words! :) SGP does actually have products that cover the back as well. Take a look at there EX series of protectors they are full body but you can just use the back and front. As for a slim case, try taking a look at the Incase Snap Case, Incipio Feather, and the Pinlo Slice 3. If you want something a bit thicker, let me know and I can provide additional suggestions :).
@TheMightyMuMbY No problem, glad you got it safely :). Thanks for the kind words as well. Yea Pink is not one of my favorite colors ;), would have preferred silver or black :).
Hi Will, great review like always man! I like this kind of minimalistic cases, and so I normally use an Incase Snap Case and I'm very satisfied by my case. But I admit this Pinlo case is ok!
@simmattdeffa Thanks, really appreciate the support! Yea I still love my Incase Snap Case, but this one is up there now (even first) for my favorite because it just is SO THIN lol. Maybe not Pink so much though haha ;).
Very nice case but even better packaging! It looks very eco-friendly which I like.
My only problem with the case though is the space on the top between the edge and the cut outs looks very thin. So thin that they could probably crack over time or just if you knocked your phone into something. What do you think?
@MacintoshUser1986 Yea the case was one of the easiest packages I have opened. Just slip off the white band and the case opens up easy :). I honestly have taken it off and on a few times and it does not give me the feeling that it will break easily. Of course if you do it like 100 times I cannot guarantee that ;) haha. With regards to it cracking if you bump into stuff, I do not believe so the case is almost like a tough second skin ;). Thanks for the kind words and continued support! :)
I don't understand some case designs. If people cant stand any kind of bulk to their phone but want scratch protection, why not just use good quality screen shields? They provide all the scratch protection you would want and allow for the beauty of the phones design to shine. There are excellent dry application screen shields that are super easy to apply. This case offers zero shock/drop protection and has NO lay-on-the-table protection plus it obscures the design of the phone. Why bother?
@txmoney Honestly my personal reason for thin and light cases is for added grip and side scratch protection (the chrome rim). Even with the nice full body shields, the sides are hard to get completely aligned so that none of the chrome is exposed. That is why my favorite cases are thin and light and have that matte finish :). With regards to the lay on the table design and drop protection, it really just depends on the user ;). Totally understand your points though :).
@eversince93 Yea I experienced issues with my first iPhone 4 with scratching on the back right (right out of the box), the second time it was due to a screen issue but I had started to notice hairline scratches on the back (they replaced my phone because of the screen issue not the scratches). Hope this helps! :)
looks like a nice case. I might get one. Just one concern though. Since its so thin, do you think there any risk or it cracking? Maybe around the standby button if you take it off a lot?
@XBGamingProductions Nice! Yea I have taken it off a few times and no issues at all. It may feel thin but actually it is fairly sturdy feeling. :). Let me know if you have any other questions :).
@jman7843 No problem, glad I could help! :) Hope your dad has a great thanksgiving and happy xmas! :) Let me know what he thinks about the case when you surprise him :).

Girl 1: Omigosh I love my new iPhone 4! Nut it's made out of glass, so I'll definitely need a case.
Guy 1: How about this Otterbox? Protects it from drops and falls!
Girl 2: Uh, way to bulky you need this case. *Shows slice*

...you took ur ipod back because it had scratchs?
eversince93 1 year ago
