There wasn't enough oxygen in the atmosphere to support life on land until just 600 or 700 million years ago, but when there had come enough oxygen in the atmosphere, life evolved quickly on the ground too. It seems that there is a growing number of religious people that base their lives on theories that they don't completely understand. If you are going to accept that something complicated (such as God) doesn't need a creator, then the Universe doesn't need a creator. And since we can pretty much prove the Universe exists, the same of which can't be said of God, it is far more logical to assume the Universe sprung into existence. That kind of eliminates the need for your creator to spring into existence and create the Universe.

For start, learn to know what the words "fact" and "theory" mean in science. Fact is an universally accepted observation. "Theory" in science does not mean "a guess" but a well-substantiated explanaton of data that explains some natural phenomenon, is based on empirical evidence and has been experimentally verified.
Theories are experimentally verifoed explanations of facts, or in other words, theories explain how stuff works.
It is a fact that evolution occurs. It is observable fact from reality. But how exactly it works, what causes it - that is what theory of evolution explains. Theory of evolution explains the fact of evolution.
Examples of other theories in science - cell theory, germ theory, theory of gravity, theory of aerodynamics etc.
Theory is the highest form of explanation in science - an exprimentally verified explanation. So theory of evolution is as factual as it can get. Study it.

There wasn't enough oxygen in the atmosphere to support life on land until just 600 or 700 million years ago, but when there had come enough oxygen in the atmosphere, life evolved quickly on the ground too. The real story of life on Earth is infinitely much more beautiful than the stupid "invisible man creating everything in 7 days" fairytale,isn't it?

But, our environment could change at any moment, desired traits may not be desirable any longer, so it's impossible to be able to predict what future species may look like.

That term is arbitrary, we find it convenient to use it because it fits with our human-centric view of the world. Human beings are a product of natural selection. The buildings, bridges, tv shows and music we create is also a product of natural selection. If something exists in this universe, then by definition it is natural. Artificial selection is just a specific case of natural selection.

My ancestry probably are very recent neanderthal hybrids.
My bones are 15% more dense (had issues until my 20s, when I stopped growing), I hate hot weather, and my preferred temperature is just above freezing, my nose fails in hot weather. I walk about 5 miles a day, used to be 12 miles a day when unemployed. And I see most humans as weird, but then, so does everyone else. :-)
Just my hypothesis to unify peculiarities, obviously nonsense without a genetic test!

By the way, if you have the 'aggressively risk-taker' genes, then you may have gotten it from your neanderthal ancestor. There really shouldn't be any debate here. The most recent popes have agreed with the theory of evolution. It seems that there is a growing number of religious people that base their lives on theories that they don't completely understand. Collaboration is very important in science because it increases reliability and accuracy. Maybe they should consider collaboration in religion :).

There's no evidence that humans evolved from some ape-like ancestor anymore than there's evidence that apes, along with lemurs and monkeys, evolved from some dog-like ancestor. All the bones used to support human evolution have been found to be either hoaxes, non-human, or human, but not both non-human and human. And since we can pretty much prove the Universe exists, the same of which can't be said of God, it is far more logical to assume the Universe sprung into existence. MW2Addiction, you're confused. We did not evolve from chimpanzees. And we did not evolve from any species of ape that lives today. We share a common ancestors with other apes and the chimpanzees.
However, that ancestor WAS an ape. Going back 10 million years ago, there were at least 50 species of apes. One of them was our ancestor.

Perhaps you should at least TRY to eliminate the idiotic gaps in your understanding about most basic aspects of science and at least try to understand that the origins of humans ARE NOT subject of theory of evolution because theory of evolution studies the mechanisms of evolution - the process. Origins of this or that animal groups are studied by phylogenetics.

Just few days ago I explained you what the words "theory" and "facts" mean in science. I explained that "theory" in science doesn't mean "a guess" but means experimentally verified explanation of facts. That theory is the highest form of explanation. And that there is a "fact of evolution" (the process) and "theory of evolution" (the explanation) that explains how evolution takes place, just like there is the fact of gravity and the theory of gravity (explains gravity).

For start, learn to know what the words "fact" and "theory" mean in science. Fact is an universally accepted observation. "Theory" in science does not mean "a guess" but a well-substantiated explanaton of data that explains some natural phenomenon, is based on empirical evidence and has been experimentally verified.
Theories are experimentally verifoed explanations of facts, or in other words, theories explain how stuff works.

It is a fact that evolution occurs. It is observable fact from reality. But how exactly it works, what causes it - that is what theory of evolution explains. Theory of evolution explains the fact of evolution.
Examples of other theories in science - cell theory, germ theory, theory of gravity, theory of aerodynamics etc.
Theory is the highest form of explanation in science - an exprimentally verified explanation. So theory of evolution is as factual as it can get. Study it.
