Dirty Work is a bit different, but they're trying new things and i think it's great that they have the courage to do it. I will always support All Time Low, no matter what.

Honestly, going through, when i say "I feel like having an ATL fest", i never pull out their new songs. All the songs i blast are from So Wrong It's Right and before. You can hear the difference in their sound. They used to talk about having fun and love and sometimes sex. Now, their new video is about being stars, getting laid and making a big name. That's not what music is. Music is a way to express yourself in a way creative and new. ATL has turned it into a job, and it's no longer a passion.
When you made this video in 2007, I don't think you guys had sold out. Nao it's 2011 and you have a relatively new album out. Which is most certainly a sell out album.

@WowDude1029 "maturing" implies the music gets better, they aren't the same band at all, Alex's vocal range in Dirty Work is hardly utilised at all, and his voice, rather than simply being double layered as with previous records, is auto-tuned as shit. Prior to Dirty Work, they were one of, if not THE, best pop punk bands out there, now, with the exception of maybe "Heroes" they're music has turned into generic pop-rock crap.

Selling out is when...lets take you for example, you use to right songs about how you felt about things and what mattered to you. now you right songs about what you record label wants you to or what you think is popular at the time and when trends change you will to. People who say they sold out, they haven't. Maybe they didn't want to change, but record labels make you do things you don't want to. So maybe the record label made them make a poppy album, because pop is whats all over the radio, and could potentially make the company a shitload of money.
I think selling out is when you just forget about the music and the fans and are only doing it for the money. They still care about their fans and the music, it's just harder for them to because there's more and more of them.

@ArtistikVision ATL doesn't want the money. They want people to listen to thier music and feel happy, be able to relate to something. Listen to A Daydream Away. Meaningless? I think not. Alex wrote the songs, so take it up with him. The meanings aren't always going to slap you in the face like Lullabies, but just open your eyes a little more. Look at them when they play. Do you see boredom? No. You see them smiling because they love being onstage. To contradict that is just stupid.

Changing who you are and how you sound to appeal to all the 'mainstream' sort of people, that's what I think selling out is. Do what you love, play your music the way you like and if people don't like it, they don't like it. It's simple.

Honestly, going through, when i say "I feel like having an ATL fest", i never pull out their new songs. All the songs i blast are from So Wrong It's Right and before. You can hear the difference in their sound. They used to talk about having fun and love and sometimes sex. Now, their new video is about being stars, getting laid and making a big name. That's not what music is. Music is a way to express yourself in a way creative and new. ATL has turned it into a job, and it's no longer a passion.

@WowDude1029 "maturing" implies the music gets better, they aren't the same band at all, Alex's vocal range in Dirty Work is hardly utilised at all, and his voice, rather than simply being double layered as with previous records, is auto-tuned as shit. Prior to Dirty Work, they were one of, if not THE, best pop punk bands out there, now, with the exception of maybe "Heroes" they're music has turned into generic pop-rock crap.

When a band compromises there own integrity to make more money, or changes their style in the interest of their "Major Label". If the band is not in complete control of what they want on a album or what they want their audience and fans to see and listen too, and is being constricted by a label, then in some sense that is selling out. Basically, if the music is being sacrificed for the interest of money...that is selling out

people say they're sellouts to almost anything they do now. i'll tell you what has changed, they changed their hair and stopped touring with their parents. they cared about every single one of their fans from the start and still do. this is what artists do guys, they're allowed to grow. they deserve to. they formed EIGHT years ago, of course it isn't the same. doesn't mean they've sold out. alex said right, that is a shitty thing.
they'll always have genuine fans who have sense in them anyway.

1st of all I would like to say that Alex's hair is perfect in this video. BUT thats not the point I want to make..lol. All Time Low deserves credit no matter what they do because they are amazing. To me they aren't selling out..yet. The days are getting closer and closer until Dirty Work is going to be released and I am very anxious. On one hand I would lovee to hear ATL on the radio, but on the other, larger concerts and less chance to get a meet and greet ect. I will always love them though.

Or changing your image DRAMATICALY to just make a every extra dollar to be made...
All Time Low hasn't sold out, even though I do like the older stuff better, I can tell you that they are simply just experimenting with their sound...

"Selling out" is where the band basically does ridiculous shit, like comercials, simply for the money and does not consider their fans or image.
It is not: making more money, becoming more popular, having their music used for movies/tv/games. these things are called success, learn the difference

I have defended this selling out shit with my every breath. Alex told us to take I Feel Like Dancin' with a spoonful of sarcasm, and I did. he warned its a stupid song. But tonight, nd I know this is old news, I found out that Time Bomb is on the trailer for the new Sims game... that to me, kinda feels like selling out.. whats in it for them sept the money...?
Im not going to judge till I hear the album..

Let's get one thing straight. All Time Low is, always has been, and always will be fucking fantastic.
NOW. on the note of selling out. When I hear those words I think of artists giving into the fame and money and forgetting/losing their interest in their fans and the true meaning of their music. Which ATL has NOT done. Nor do I think they ever will. They're wonderful guys and they play amazing music<3

All Time Low is growing the fuck up, something that every 'fan' who says they've sold out should do as well. I love everything ATL has ever done. I became a fan when SWIR had just come out, but I love TPS, PUOSU, and TWTRIDWTE. I also love NP and everything I've heard so far off DW, even I Feel Like Dancin'. Just because ATL doesn't have depressing shit to write about anymore because they're actually happy so their lyrics are less 'meaningful'.. Is that something we should be angry about? I don

just saying but changing from a genre that has less money in it (PUNK) to a more popular genre where more money can be made (POP) is selling out. Although i will always like them to me all time low ended at put up or shut up there last Punk album before Nothing Personal which is when they did sell out to become pop. Ok this may not be a negative thing for everyone but i believe for those who were there from the start or there career are disappointed
