@TiWi9991 Gimme a break, it was my first underwater dive, with a new camera. manual white balance should have been the setting. The photos I took with the same camera turned out better in my opinion.
I know this might seem like an idiotic question but is there anyway to get rid of the blue underwater tint? Any type of filter/program? If is that what your normally going to see without a external light?
@ApexIXMR There's an underwater setting in this camera btw. I think the setting was on. I didn't have an external light. I'm going HD on my next dive, and I'm using this camera and underwater housing as a back up. If I can afford another light for this rig, I'll let you know the results.
@bigbassballin I'm working on it. Need to save up some more money. This is an expensive side hobby I barely have time to do. I need to invest more time and money yo! 2 fhings I don't have at the moment.
@Q8Police777 The Canon G11 is not waterproof itself. IMO, I think it's a pretty sturdy camera though. A few drops of rain or water on the the camera won't destroy it. I feel that the underwater housing is very well constructed. It's japanese and I've taken it on 6 dives with no problems whatsoever.
ok, after some web research, I found out those black fern things are called Crinoids, also known as sea lilies or feather-stars, are marine animals that make up the class Crinoidea of the echinoderms (phylum Echinodermata)
Thanks! I've been looking into this housing and this video is exactly what I wanted to see. Do you have a flickr account somewhere with photos taken underwater with this camera/housing?
Yes of course it's edited over. It was 4 dives total, the tide conditions were much different for the 2 days of diving. Hence the difference in water color. But the canon G11 WP-DC34 was used for all of the footage that you see here.
Yes, I think I had about 10 lbs on, but they were in kilos, so I'm not 100% of the weights. I had 3.5mm suit cause the water was very warm. Philippines, Borcay
Is that in the philippines ?

I'm guessing it is a white balance issue.

Whats the maximum depth that you can reach?
Q8Police777 1 year ago
@Q8Police777 I've only gone as deep at 60 ft. The box says that this housing can go up to depths of 130 ft max.

@SuacideKang The housing. But is the camera waterproof aswell?

Are you sure you are using a Canon Powershot G11? Because the wp-dc17 is not for that camera

@shimy1221
Opps, you're right, changing to WP-DC 34

Are you using extra lighting with the camera or just the camera and housing?
shimy1221 1 year ago
@shimy1221
No extra lighting, just the sun above us. We dove 20 meters / 60 feet max depth.
