Can't believe Lousie Duart was one of the cast memebers, she is a comedian really good at doing impressions.(better than Rich Little did) She's a born again Christian, and hosts a program on one of the religious channels
This is a great song. I feel it promoted healthy imagination. Personally, I think Mr. (Fred) Rogers would have approved of it. God bless the Osmonds and the actors, who played Kaptain Kool and the Kongs.
Awesome Post! Brings back memories of me and my Brother Watching these old shows. Its Awesome seeing Atlanta again in the 70's (That big Peachtree plaza you can't even see from there these days lol) and the Old Omni Hotel where the old Sid and Marty Kroft Museum used to be ( and for Trivia: That Space that was the Museum is not the CNN Main Headquartes and studio)
This is the season of this show I love best; KK & The Kongs done in glam rock (and w/ Flatbush!) Dr. Shrinker, EW & DG, edited versions of The Lost Saucer...I like the second season too, but this one is my fave.
@marceloassisbrasil Down there, you also have Xuxa. Too bad her show (produced here the US for only one season in 1993), didn't achieve the same level of success like it already did in your home country of Brazil or TKS in the 70's. Oh well, c'est la vie... thank God for YouTube ;-)
too bad it's disembed, i wanted to post it to my cousin who is in nyc, when they say downtown i think time square. the lyrics are graet!!! i love KROFFT!
stop at 1:32!!!! 'all songs written and produced by the osmonds! some studio and backgroung vocals were them as well. there were 2 LPs from the series, one an actual song LP and the other just stories from the series.
Oh well, thank God for Youtube, b/c the last thing it needs (and we all can do without) are issues abt. copyright infringement over this. The theme song (in spite of Kapt. Kool and the Kongs prancing around in tacky costumes) really had one the COOLEST, CATCHIEST, MOST UPBEAT SONGS EVER. ;)
@cegross Being an saturday morning nastolgical animaniac myself, To answer your question, that is a darn good question; WHICH NEED A DARN GOOD ANSWER!!!!!

Yep, the Krofft brothers had the Osmonds write and produce the music for this show. Amazing, isn't it? :)
