  • I wish there had been shows like this when I was growing up!

  • lots of glitter and lots of fun.

  • nhh

  • The season 2 credits suck.

  • GGGREAT TIMES MAN!!!!!

  • Can't believe Lousie Duart was one of the cast memebers, she is a comedian really good at doing impressions.(better than Rich Little did) She's a born again Christian, and hosts a program on one of the religious channels

  • @cowboybear40 She's got her own facebook page. You should send her a friend invite and she'll respond.

  • This is a great song. I feel it promoted healthy imagination. Personally, I think Mr. (Fred) Rogers would have approved of it. God bless the Osmonds and the actors, who played Kaptain Kool and the Kongs.

  • I love the one dressed as a pimp,

  • MAN, THIS IS GOOD TV, NO VIOLENCE, NO SHIT REALITIES...JUST FUN AND MUSIC. NICE MEMORIES.

  • Used to love everything Sid & Marty Krofft did back in the day..Used to love Saturday mornings...Probably explains my warped side.

  • Awesome Post! Brings back memories of me and my Brother Watching these old shows. Its Awesome seeing Atlanta again in the 70's (That big Peachtree plaza you can't even see from there these days lol) and the Old Omni Hotel where the old Sid and Marty Kroft Museum used to be ( and for Trivia: That Space that was the Museum is not the CNN Main Headquartes and studio)

  • @Hairgod1234 Eerr I meant is "NOW" the CNN main Headquarters and Studio

  • This is the season of this show I love best; KK & The Kongs done in glam rock (and w/ Flatbush!) Dr. Shrinker, EW & DG, edited versions of The Lost Saucer...I like the second season too, but this one is my fave.

  • My god I'm old....I used to LOVE this show! Thanks for posting, I think....

  • dont remember this show thank god

  • more 1970's suckiness!!!! (ha ha ha ah)

  • @bbo40 Its a hell of LOT better than crap today..by a long-shot!!

  • I don't remember this show? And I was Saturday morning cartoon junkie...........

  • Wow! I´m watching this show here in Brazil. I remember the year: 1979. Fantastic! I don´t believe!!!

  • @marceloassisbrasil Down there, you also have Xuxa. Too bad her show (produced here the US for only one season in 1993), didn't achieve the same level of success like it already did in your home country of Brazil or TKS in the 70's. Oh well, c'est la vie... thank God for YouTube ;-)

  • That was Kool! Love the 70's!

  • Uh...That was disturbing.

  • I buy Wholesome Always HAVE!

  • too bad it's disembed, i wanted to post it to my cousin who is in nyc, when they say downtown i think time square. the lyrics are graet!!! i love KROFFT!

  • didnt know carrottop's dad use to have a show on saturday morning.

  • Produced by the Osmonds!? 0:34

  • Yep, the Krofft brothers had the Osmonds write and produce the music for this show. Amazing, isn't it? :)

  • I'm the blond headed kid waving at 1:24.

Nepotism ftw. My Dad was the president of the World of Sid and Marty Krofft. Good times.

  • stop at 1:32!!!! 'all songs written and produced by the osmonds! some studio and backgroung vocals were them as well. there were 2 LPs from the series, one an actual song LP and the other just stories from the series.

  • It just can't be over three decades old. It still seems so fresh

  • Thanks for posting, I was one of the kids running around with them all day...totally fun times! Ahh the good old days.

  • thanks for posting....I am one of the kids running around....fun times!!

  • These creatures give me chills,, they are like a nightmare.

  • This takes me back to 1976 like nothing else...thank you for posting this as everyone else thought I imagined this...uh, insanity

  • A sign of our troubled times! I guess wholesome just doesn't sell these days! More's the pity!!!

  • Even on Idol.

  • Oh well, thank God for Youtube, b/c the last thing it needs (and we all can do without) are issues abt. copyright infringement over this. The theme song (in spite of Kapt. Kool and the Kongs prancing around in tacky costumes) really had one the COOLEST, CATCHIEST, MOST UPBEAT SONGS EVER. ;)

  • i totally agree on what u stated lots of great nostalgia on here but than u have the arse holes too

but u take the good and bad thats what life is all about

  • How come they can put South Park on DVD but they can't put on something as wholesome as this good old t.v. series?

  • I agree completely.

  • @cegross Being an saturday morning nastolgical animaniac myself, To answer your question, that is a darn good question; WHICH NEED A DARN GOOD ANSWER!!!!!
