i have a question though i own a sword cane myself and i would like to know how to properly take care of it for it is my first sword and would like to know how to keep it clean and what would i need to keep the blade from dulling?

@yinyangdragonx Keep the blade oiled with gun oil or WD40 or something. It will only dull from use, not by just sitting around. But you can sharpen it with fine-grit sandpaper. There's guides on how to do that sort of thing on YouTube.

From what I've heard, WD40 will actually accelerate the rusting process, so I'd advise against that. I use mineral oil for mine. It works pretty well, and you can get it pretty cheap at just about any drug store (because it's also used as a laxitive). I've also found mineral oil at Wal-Mart (near the medicine/pharmacy area), and in an Ace Hardware store.

I don't care how old or weak you this this guy is. the fact remains you wouldn't want to be on the other side of his attacks they will still mess you up. plus in a real fight your adrenaline is pumping and at that point every attack is made as if it were your last so he would probably cleave your entire arm off or shove the thing right through your stomach or chest and exit your back. My dad just got me a sword cane for halloween for only $20!

It actually is really strong and the blade screws out of the cane part. Not too big but nice and pointy. Too bad the sword we buy are meant for decoration and are not secured enough and are wobbly/loose.
