What is the objectivist stance on national parks? It seems that if this ideology was put into play, there would be no constraints on corporations. The parks would be drilled, developed, and forested. I am not an "objectivist" as Ayn Rand would coin the term. However I believe in maximum freedom for the individual given that individual or group of individuals are not infringing on someone elses freedom. Given that I do believe there should be restrictions on corporations when it comes to pollution of the water supply, air, and soil. Unfortuantly big government has used "climate change" as an issue to bully companies to pay large sums of revenue in regards to ridiculous regulations.

But again indirect harm as well as direct harm is still harm. Therefore ruining OUR air and YOUR property (water, etc) is inexcusable, and must be controlled not for the sake of our environment, but for the sake of rights in regard to your health.

PS. Most of the green movement's "logic" is flawed. I would be careful of what they say.

LOL - the scientists have been deceptive and are on an anti-industrial political mission. What a moron!

McKeever's comment about the some prior lags between temp increases and the onset of CO2 concentration increases is no scientific secret or mystery. Still, it's used to spread confusion about the science to the public. It would be nice if the science of global warming were simple. It isn't, and the public must either work hard to understand it, or trust the scientists.

"Taking care of our children and grandchildren" will be a result of the ingenuity of populations of individuals being released from the rule of man, and living in a world governed by the rule of objective law. Your ideology is in the clouds. Show me a law that is enforced by an authority lacking the rule of man. Law exists to prevent the ARBITRARY rule of men. Laws must be applied to all men otherwise we create a system of special interest which perverts justice and EQUALITY.

Politicians are given a market of power in which interests may coerce and/or seduce them for their services. By what means do you propose an authority which "forbids the initiation of force" remain uncorrupted?

Referring to rule of man, I mean the arbitrary (i.e., unprincipled) use of power which has been acquired over time by politicians. They expand their powers through unprincipled laws. The agent of enforcement is in the hands of "men", of course. Without an explicitly stated principle to guide the making/rejecting of unprincipled legislation, there will be perverted justice. Equality is a matter of importance only insofar as it refers to the quality of freedom--equally free to be self-responsible
