They were only ranked 2nd in the country in the Final Coaches Poll in 2004, and then ranked in the top 15 in the Final Coaches polls of All of the following 3 years, only recently falling into a two year slump in which they went only 13-12. This slump was abruptly discontinued in January with an Outback Bowl victory.
They only defeated the almighty crimson tide for 6 years in a row, a streak which was ended recently during the
