I someehow hate the fact that this games dont really improve at all. same weapon graphics, same names. at least change the names and the attributes...and most of all, the fucking same battelsystem that sucks so much. well jeah they change little. especially when some boss enemys are as impossible to beat you get stuck at that point and stop playing.

Only thing really changing form one game to another are the characters.....

I don't get why so many compare english to jap voices when half the time they don't know how good the jap ones are saying it, they just read it like a book. So yes, you can say that the english acting is bad but saying that a language you don't even understand is better is a little unfair

My only real issue here~ is the battle system, not how its done, I mean i'd prefer it if the camera angle was from a diagnol angle from behind looking downwards. I just think it would of looked alot better/nicer.

Love the graphics! This game got me so hyped when I first tried it yesterday! An awesome mash up of great games! Fun combat system...Nostalgia swept over me when I played this game, Felt like I was back in the late 90's playing an rpg on ps1 again. Sound track is epic too!

the graphics are good , not everything is 3D u noobs , learn the fucking culture and genre first , this is made of anime and anime games, and mostly japanese or asian games... they have their own style of games which are fucking awsome since oldschool 2d or 3d "anime" style they all kick ass noneed for 3D it mostly ruins the best rpg's, but not everytime

ROFL this screams portable gaming system or a really old game for playstation 1. There are portable games with better graphics than this which is probably why critics chewed it up and spat it out . This game looks really long character personality looks good

@33ee lol i know that graphics aren't the most important thing. but they are important. if the came costs 15 or even 20 bucks and looks like this it could pass if it has a good and engaging storyline.

but if it looks like this in THIS day and age and costs something like 50 bucks then the creator is a very lazy person and should focus on releasing his work on the ds or psp even. you cannot get away with graphics like this and charge 50 to 60 bucks. that's just criminal.

@utaxsong but the game does cost like 20 bucks. Also a lot of gamers prefer story and gameplay over graphics. What good is a game with abnormally beautiful graphics but has a lame plot and terrible gameplay. There are a bunch of pretty games that don't see the light of day because it lacks anything else besides looking pretty.

@serenadesilhout yeah i know what you mean. XD there are plenty of fancy games on the ps3 these days with a plot that sucks ( final fantasy 13 ).

but they also forget that while we do want to see amazing graphics, we also want story. they should both go hand in hand. i'm not saying sprites should never be on a ps3 or anything. but with today's technology, developing a sprite isn't as expensive nor difficult as it used to be. as long as they don't over-price these type of games i don't mind it.

@utaxsong actually, i enjoyed final fantasy 13 and I do not think its plot sucks. It has a better story than ff12. Sure it may not be up to par with the older final fantasy games, but it does have a better story than most games on the market. And to be honest, i felt a lot of satisfaction when i beat it, when look at everything that happened all the way up until then, and with how HARD the game was.

@Crashandburn999 I didn't find FF13 hard at all, although it was my favourite battle system out of all the FF's. I loved the characters (except Hope that little... - ) but the story I had to kinda play over to understand it all (at first I was like pulse? pulse fal'cie? l'cie? Cocoon? Sanctum? Guardian Core? Psicoom?) was just a lot of names to take in xD. but yeah the final boss took me like 2 tries (which NEVER happens to me in FF games xD). No guide help or tips either, went in and beat him

@BlissKira I actually found it pretty easy to follow and understand. Then again i was told that you'll have to read the datalog the first half of the game to fully understand it, which is what i did.

Anyway, the game is pretty easy if you grind, but without grinding its very hard. As with the final boss, i beat him on the 2nd try too with no guide. I can't remember what the move was, but it basically disabled my ability to play and all i could do was sit and watch as he killed off my characters

Spending good money, I'd expect good gameplay. Graphics are a byproduct of advancing technology. If graphics are the sole reason that you are, or are not buying a game, you're into gaming for all the wrong reasons. Nintendo didn't become one of the biggest companies out there for their graphics. Every single console, they've been inferior when it comes to technological specs. They succeed because they focus on gameplay- which is what games were made to deliver in the first place.

@RipYourSpineOut Actually, the nintendo 64 was the most powerful console of the 5th generation. It was bottle necked by a small storage space on the cartridges, but it was much more powerful than the ps1 and saturn.
