Why the hate? Nobody in gym has EVER dominated a single event like Zoltan Magyar. And he had serious competition--Kurt Thomas invented the flair, a move we even see a lot in the more athletic forms of dance now. But it was always Magyar=gold, Thomas=silver on horse. And this wasn't one of those dramas where you could just blame the Russian judge. The dude was just ahead of his time. And he never made mistakes on horse.

i wasn't saying magyar was bad at all. i give him complete credit and appreciate all of the changes he made. fact of the matter though, is that pommel horse technique has come a long way and the set he performed would not be considered great today. "30 years really changes things"
and don't hate on xiao qin, he is quite possibly the best ever on pommel horse

My apogogies; had just fallen off my road race bike and am 'all beat up' - ouch! As you say, times move on. Wonder if he did drugs?
