as if i dont do so already! p0raying is the first thing that comes to mind, actions from praying is the next! i pray to find solution, not to free myself from guilt! You should try it some times!
see, russia is almost just like America. We have thousands of homeless children here too. Only difference is were too proud to talk about it so it gets covered up. Gos forbid we help our own, lets instead save thousands of children across the globe rather than at home like we should. No child should be homeless, but isnt it fair to american children to get help from americans before we help other countries children?
not common in russia. In USSR there were these HUGE state-run orphanages that looked more like prisons. After USSR collapsed those kids were completely neglected and literarly, millionsof them run away and ended up on the streets. Its the USSR legacy and these state orphanages still function and are not fully replaced by foster homes/small private orphanages.
i readed book, and there are depict childrens, who was taken from streets to summer camp.there are writen theirs coduct. and 8-10 years childrens drinked, smoked and used drugs... most of them ended their lifes suicide... it's so sad :(((
it was so shocking to see.. i never knew how it really was, that it was that bad.
poor kids, and there's thousands of them in moscow alone..
i wonder how those kid's life went (since it was made in 2004), if they're still alive, if they're still living there or maybe if their life got easier...
I saw an interview with Hanna Pollack. She said that one girl from the movie (not sure which one) was re-uninted with her family and is an honors student in school. But virtually everyone else from the movie is in jail now.
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry that you have to get such crazy reponses to such a poignant tribute. What beautiful little children with such sad, sad eyes...
the answer is: people is trying so hard to make africa look bad instead of worrying about their own. it seems that society is so worry about how it looks instead of how it's doing,[quantity over quality. bra]
we need to stop trying to make ourself look more superior then others and get it togather.
Thanks for comment. Well yes..there are so many people in the world who need help. Human life has little value these days. We have become so materialistic that we shy away from the bitter realities of life....This was a little step...But I hope it will shake someones concience. Lets make this world a better place to live...
what is there in the world russia does not give a shit on?russia get disgraced and fooled for years and right now is ware of it for one year and not react!look serbia thousands adult people with military who can hold together and defend themself behave BABY are more important than children alone without food in russia!

I wouldn't say it's not common. Who told you so?

i did volunteer work in Russia with homeless kids. Foster care was introduced just a few years ago and the legacy care are huge state-run orphanages.
